got Access to the beta of the Space Slurpies, would say this is one of the best games to learn vr from scratch as you learn how to move your controller in full 360 degree systems bouth up and down. it can get abit hectic after a while but thats the fun of it, and the Dev is responsing fast on questions.
this game is GREAT. not only having an excellent soundtrack but a fun multiplayer experience with friends. i have great expectations for future updates and an official release.
A video of my initial dip into the game can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIiovYRsY_k Please note I got a copy of this for free. This is a really charming little game that, for me anyway, 100% falls into the "I'd use this to show off VR to other folk, but I'm not sure I'm going to play it much more" category. As per the description, it's the Snake-a-like game most people will know, but brought into VR. I didn't think it would work. I was wrong, it works. The style and feel of the whole thing is wonderfully bonkers and there's lots to mess about with. I can see it being all kinds of fun if a group of folk you know own a copy and you can all play together while just nattering away and being daft and having fun. At full price (showing as £3.00 for me) it's *easily* worth it, even if you just play it for a wee while (like, seriously, come on, you can spend more than that getting a coffee and a nibble). Had a stumbled on this via another route I would absolutely have been tempted to buy it, even more so at the sale price (as of the time of writing this). Couple of small issues I'd mention though: - It's not exactly sit/stand-friendly, especially if you have a fairly small play space. My space is around 2m by 2m and the items you're supposed to collect often appeared outside of my guardian. If you have a small play space and hard surfaces around you *will* end up punching a wall or a TV or whatever. To offset that it will be the slowest and must chill punch ever. - Online play against other random folk seemed... not very well populated. Attempting to play online I seemed to never match with anyone and ended up apparently playing against bots; so no different from the solo play. If you're going to get this hoping you can muck about with loads of other people online, this could be a source of disappointment. Do I recommend it though? Yeah, really do. If you have enough play space and especially if you have friends who have this or are willing to buy it and play it with you it'll be lots of fun.
update: The game needed a GPU update to work. The game is good for the sale price I bought it at.
this game is super fun. it has great music, cool environments, a lil customization, and a couple of game modes. you can play by yourself with bots, friends, or randos. give it a go, it's totally worth the five bucks.
I am new to VR and this is one of my first games. Super easy to get started. The colors and textures were amazing. The game was challenging and had enough competitive elements to keep me super engaged. I had seen reviews and podcasts claiming how calming and chill the experience is. I was not let down, a great game to play during some down time. On the podcast interview the developers seem really cool. They did a great job with this game. The interaction was super smooth. The maps are extensive. I will be back in soon to check out the ones I didn't get to. I could just keep hanging out with the slurps, but had to go to work. You won't be disappointed. Even the soundtrack was enjoyable and fresh. Follow Up, new maps and skins in the latest dlc is awesome! A great game that keeps getting better.
It's a fun take on the classic Snakes game, but you guide the snake with your controller while spinning around the air eating objects that will make it longer. The graphics are simple but work well, it has nice colors and the music is a blast. Frankly this is a lot of fun to play, it takes enough skills to be a challenge, and it's nice to look at. I like this kind of game that without being original it takes a simple concept and implements it well.
One of my favorite casual games in VR. Super easy to show people and it's extremely cool with the environments, challenging and cool. No ignore the negative reviews, these people are dull and just want multiplayer. It's not COD, you didn't play tetris with people at first.
Puntaje: 6/10 - Recomendado solo con Amigos
Básicamente es el snake de toda la vida, pero re-imaginado para VR. Es diviertido para jugar con amigos, pero si sos un forever alone, no creo q jueges mas de 1h. Slurp, Grow, Win - Space Slurpies Space Slurpies is a fun addictive single or multiplayer game. You control a snake with your hand movements and must eat, grow and stay alive to win. The end of your hand is a snake, that you can freely move around in a VR world. The control mechanics are super easy and lots of fun. You just move your hand around to gather food and grow, while avoiding enemies, objects, other players and yourself. The person alive at the end with the longest snake wins. You will be using room scaling to move around the levels, so you will need some space to play. The play style is just amazing and feels perfect in a VR world. You will be quickly immersed into the game and have the time of your life gathering food and avoiding running into things. I was moving, ducking and flying my hand every where. It feels great to be so interactive inside a game. There are plenty of levels to play on and unlock. You also get to customize your snake to your liking. The game is a ton of fun in single player or multiplayer. In multiplayer it supports cross play, so you can play with your friends no matter which copy they buy. The game has an old school arcade feel to it, mixed with an amazing VR world and control. This game is hours of fun, specially with friends. You will be laughing and having the time of your life, slurping up food to grow and win. If you are looking for a fun relaxing single player or multiplayer party game, this is it. With the games simple controls, everyone can play it and enjoy it. This is a great game to show off VR to your friends. Get your hand warmed up and get ready to slurp. This is one exciting VR title you don't want to miss. Watch my preview here, https://youtu.be/qKifIVhPP1k
