Just ten minutes long. Not even the pretense of a game. It's a ten minute porn animation. Just two options at the end: replay the movie and that's enough for one day. Replay just skips though it. I'm puzzled that this was offered for sale on a computer game sales site.

You ever finish a scene and just sit there like: “I need to go outside”? Yeah. This one did that. But not in a bad way. The art direction, surprisingly, isn’t just focused on crotch shots. There’s detail, there’s lighting, there’s effort here. It’s still smut, don’t get me wrong. But it’s well-composed smut.

Space Sex Lab is basically what happens when someone combines Mass Effect horniness with hentai visual novel energy. You get wild scenes, good pacing, and a ridiculous but fun premise. There’s effort here, not just cheap thrill. I can’t believe I’m writing this, but I’m impressed.

Definitely not worth the money. It's just some not very good RenPy and a story with no choices.

The next chapter in the series takes a trip into space. Disclaimer: Because most adult visual novels, or visual novels in general, use the same engine, I won't go into detail about the technical aspects. All you need to know is that it comes with the ability to save the game at any moment. However, skipping text doesn’t work, so you’ll have to mash the button if you want the naughty parts. Since all titles in the series have the same mechanics, reviews are pretty much the same. The series keeps adding ingredients to keep the stories interesting, but the last few entries have steered from fantasy to girls with extra appendages between their legs. This time, the story jumps into space where a doctor researches plants and animals from a new planet. Since this can get boring, there’s also a space pilot to keep her company. But the pilot belongs to a race of space elves, who have a secret hiding in their pants. It is all very linear, with no choices or locations other than the pool. Sex scene has several positions and animations, but you don’t get to choose. There are also a few moans here and there. While it is understandable that images are graphic, the same can be said for text, which cannot exactly be read in public. This isn’t for those who want to rush through the story and only watch images. One reason is that there’s no gallery. And the other is a high price when compared to content that can be finished in around 30 minutes. The story is definitely there and satisfies a specific fetish, but it might be a good idea to wait for a discount. One cool thing about it is the achievement descriptions—they're cheeky and perfectly match the action happening on screen.

Honestly thought this would be low-effort stuff with zero polish. But Space Sex Lab brings top-tier animations, great voiceover syncing, and some of the most creative camera angles I've seen in a lewd VN. Like who storyboarded this? Kubrick? That shower scene? 10/10 choreography.
