Overall cool experience with great sense of scale and scenery! Riding the elevator and bungee jumping were fun. (Also enjoyed looking over the cityscape from the top of the needle) Shows off some of the educational potential of VR with the history exhibit as well. Would be neat to have some audio or video associated with the educational materials. Got some jitters on my GTX 980ti with I7-6700k (mostly when hands were in view), but I'm not prone to motion sickness at all...so not too much of an issue for me personally. I'd say it's definitely a worthwhile download to check out - especially for free!
My system experiences major jitter with this. Its mildly interesting, the bungee jump could be a lot better without the jitter. Gave up as I did not want to get (anti)motion sickness.

И опять проект в номинации " хорошая задумка, но плохая реализация". Плохое взаимодействие ВР с компьютерной системой. Первый и неудачный проект компании Expedia.
Terrible experience. I'm not sure if there was supposed to be any sound at all, but if there was, I never heard it. I also had major jitters while playing. The graphics were nice, and I would have liked exploring around in the world if it had had sound and if it wasn't mildly nauseating playing it.
A really cool experience! I'd like to see a lot more stuff like this, these condensed experiences could really define VR. My favorite part is the interactive objects on the table, the physics are great!
Somehow I get 140+fps in The Lab on my 8 core @ 4.2ghz and SLI 1080s... but this simple app stutters. ...wat.
Chez moi ca saccade, c'est moche, c'est vraiment pas terrible. Moi qui est le vertige, pour le coup j'ai sauté et je n'ai pas du tout ressentis la sensation de hauteur. A tester si vous avez du temps a perdre...
Fantastic VR recreation! Thank you Expedia for making this available. I have a NVIDIA GTX1060 and everything worked very smoothly. I liked all the informative posters that provide a nice history. The view from the top is super! I hope there are more VR experiences like this available in the future.
Space Needle VR is an Expedia branded VR experience of the Space Needle. It worked on my HTC Vive, Index, and Meta Quest 3 via Steam Link system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. You can take a virtual elevator to the rooftop and halo of the Space Needle and walk on it to a virtual Bungee jump. You can walk around the base of Space Needle into the Making of the Space Needle exhibit. This is not a view from inside the Space Needle. The bungie jump worked. The elevator works. The teleporting locomotion worked. There is signs that you can teleport to selected landmarks. You start off in a lobby that looks like a coffee shop, it has instructions on Vive and Quest use. There was some sounds in some locations. It opens your web browser to the Expedia web site about this tour. I thought it was very buggy and poorly coded, but still usable. The graphics was very jaggy, had poor texturing in some locations. Some parts of the building was missing in spots. The resolution was bad. You had only 3 choices for resolution change in the settings. From the top of the space needle, they built poor 3d models of the buildings surrounding the needle and they were poorly textured.
