SPACE HOLE

Very neat, and oddly satisfying, in a way -- the sound the energy balls make when picked up & deposited is nice. Very comfortable to control, never feels janky or unfair. For only a dollar, definitely worth picking up and enjoying for a little bit :)

Space Hole is an excellent arcade shooter that provides a zen-like experience. Controls are smooth and tight. You'are able to easily avoid obstacles and enemies, but the longer your tail becomes as you consume energy balls, the harder that becomes. You need to anticipate your tail's motion as it gets longer to keep part of it from being knocked off by enemies and obstacles and maneuver yourself to keep yourself and your tail from taking damage. It's a fun challenge that does not feel cheap. To score, you need to deposit the energy balls into the Space Hole. The longer your tail is (i.e. the more energy balls you collect) when you make a deposit, the more points you earn. It's very addicting and almost makes it feel like an arcade sports game to an extent. To add to the experience is the tranquil music that adds to feeling of floating in space. Overall, it's a really fun game with a leaderboard that keeps you coming back to try to up your score. For $0.99, Space Hole is a must play. Having said that, if you enjoy Space Hole, I would consider the other excellent tittles by Fred Wood.

Genuinely a classic arcade title inside of a modern skin. A game you can easily lose hours in, and one that I'm looking forward to doing so with!

Ever since they closed the National Money Hole, this has been my go-to to try and feel the sense of patriotic pride one got from dumping truckloads of money into a massive pit in the New Mexico desert.

A lot of fun! It feels like one of those games that are easy to understand but hard to master. Controls felt a bit odd at first (im using keyboard) but once I got used to it it was super natural to move around. I want to play more as this game has left a space hole shaped hole in my space hole shaped heart....

SPACE HOLE just sounds and feels great. The difficulty ramp-up lets you get acclimated regardless of how long you intend to play, and the combo system keeps you pushing your luck for a high score. Every part of the UI design fits together for a largely text-free experience that's intuitively understandable, and the near misses you can challenge yourself to later on are possibly a better adrenaline hit than scoring. In short? SPACE HOLE is well worth the price of admission, and may be mildly addictive.
