Great game, terrible management.
Wish I could just leave a "meh" type rating. Game is VERY grindy and when you try to conserve your higher ammo for larger NPC and your in a group others in group FROWN on you. Not everybody has money to dump into the game. And the "ACE Coins" things is a maze to try to figure out. And the text boxes in the game are very "wanky". Ok I have given it a bit more time of playing it and it is very good even if EXETREMELY grindy. Grind is what makes games like this fun though. Wish the store options were a bit more clear on purchasing Uri and Ace Coins or if it is even possible. Takes forever to get your drones purchased.

See on nagu uus tase. Ma olen mänginud DarkOrbit aastaid, et saavutada midagi. Space aces on parem kuna sa näed arengut iga päev. Tule ja mängi sa ei kahetse üldse. Mõnusad nostalgia arengut tuleb välja. Good Game like it!

This will be a long read because the game has some potential as relaxing Sci-Fi grinder for people that don't care about 90s webpage graphics (many don't and I'm one of them). I'd also like to point out that the devs support Regiment, which is an all veteran gaming community, which is fantastic. They've even made a cool veteran ship skin and title which looks amazing. The devs seem very active and receptive, often participating in chat in game and on discord. You'll pick a faction (Earth, Venus, or Mars), they're all the same and you can make a free change later. There's enough to do to keep you occupied and grinding for a few days. There's a path for progression that is clear as mud. You'll fill your ship up with the guns and other mods as you can afford them and when you fill it up you'll buy drones which can fit more guns and other mods as you can afford them. The more pew pew your ship has, the better the enemy ships you can kill. Simple enough there. There's also some instances where you can combat harder and harder waves of enemy ships as you get stronger. Areas outside of that is where you start to see some major disconnects between older and newer players. There are "Ace Progression Points" AKA skill points from every other game that you acquire as you level. You don't apply them exactly like skill points in other games. There's more of a combat puzzle you have to complete to use them. Some people like them, some people don't. Personally, if I wanted a puzzle I'd of downloaded one of the 103903490349 lame puzzle games out there. Anyway, so you watch a video or ask for "the trick" to completing those and someone will tell you to drop space mines and hit them yourself (make sense right), or whatever said trick is, and you apply your not skill points. Some of the early missions also make zero sense to start until your further in the game. For example, there are missions that will say hit 50 targets with mines that will cost you 100x in mine cost of the reward you will get. Avoid those. It sounds like there are ships later in the game that drop so much currency that the advanced players really don't care about ammo costs, but you won't be able to afford to use your rocket launchers for a few days as it'll cost more in rockets than you'll get from grinding. The pvp zones are the worst part of the game I've found. There will be missions to hang out there as well. You'll love life as you'll be a punching bag for 10 man tryhard packs. You don't lose anything, they don't gain anything. That's not going to stop them from spawn camping you for as long as you're willing to respawn though. I believe the game is it's early stages and still be balanced. As active as the devs are, I have no doubt some of these things will be ironed out. Happy Flying.
La terre promise. Le Darkorbit dont on a tous toujours rêvé!
