This game is a glorious, beautiful mess, and I mean that in the best way possible. It feels like the developers took every single "wouldn't it be cool if..." idea from a late-night anime binge and just crammed it all into one game. The result is chaotic, a little unpolished, but so full of heart and creativity that I can't stop playing. The visual style is a trip. It's like a mix of early 2000s cel-shaded games with modern particle effects. Sometimes it looks a bit janky, but that weird, almost nostalgic aesthetic just adds to its charm. It feels unique in a sea of games trying to look hyper-realistic. When you're in the middle of a fight, juggling enemies and unleashing a screen-filling ultimate, it looks like a fireworks display designed by a weeb. But the real star is the freedom to build your character. Forget picking a class and being stuck with it. You are a mad scientist, mixing and matching different "Souls" to create something completely bonkers. You can be a sword fighter who shoots lasers and has a pet robot. You can be a healer who can also turn into a giant ice golem. The level of customization is mind-boggling, and it makes you feel like your character is truly yours. It's not perfect, it's rough around the edges, but it's one of the most creative and fun RPGs I've played in years. Verdict: 8.5/10. A wonderfully chaotic anime dream.
