I didn't have any expectations when I opened the game. I love puzzles, I love challenging my brain, and this game gave me SO MUCH of both! The simplicity of the graphics was actually just adding up to the experience. if you love puzzles, numbers and get huge feeling of accomplishment from solving things, this game is definitely for you! Played it twice, and will 100% play more!
Completed with 100% of achievements unlocked. Sorry, James is a tile-based puzzle game, built around a narrative premise of decrypted a series of lurid conversations on a woman's mobile phone. The puzzle approach is a bit of a mix of Minesweeper and Sudoku and interesting as you try to activate tiles in a pattern to meet requirements of matching row/column lengths, but doesn't seem to have a strictly logical approach available in many cases, requiring some guesswork that makes it less satisfying. The unlocked messages serve to provide some degree of narrative drive, but don't really go anywhere (probably deliberately) - which again, doesn't feel wholly satisfying.

meh
I sadly didn't read the "mature content description" part of this page before playing the game which is totally on me. I already disliked the chats straight away, too sexual and way too descriptive for my taste. Luckily they do get a bit philosophical later on which is alright enough I guess. The story was decent, it did leave me a tad confused at the end though. You need to play the demo if you want an achievement, but it's short so it's fine. One achievement is hard to get (completing all puzzles without mistakes), the others are easy and a lot are unmissable. The puzzles, however, are great! Not too easy, not too hard. I did search up the solutions to a few towards the end because I was getting quite frustrated and just wanted to finish the game already! The atmosphere is nice and the feeling you get while "hacking" alone behind a screen is pleasant! Overall, the game is okay, I kind of enjoyed it, but would not replay it and would only recommend it if you really enjoy this kind of puzzles.
