About

Play as Chloe, a gifted hacker who is searching for her missing friend Rebecka while a biotech crackdown embroils the city of Abraxa. As the political climate heats up and the corporate-sponsored militia threaten lives in unusually cruel ways, Chloe is faced with leveraging her relationships and friendships to help her navigate unrest, protect the communities she cares about, and heal herself in the process.

Friendship can be formed through all sorts of circumstances, whether it be through tragedy or making impactful change. Get to know this colorful, queer, and fashionable group of characters as you navigate complex societal issues and political intrigue together.
In the midst of escalating tensions, will romance bloom, or will you choose to keep the one you have gotten close to as a friend and confidant? Do you find yourself with the wholesome local boy Torrent, the experienced activist Sueli, or the old flame Alden?

Utilize the power of "social hacking" to dissect power dynamics that affect violent divisions locally and in the country. Your choices in how you dive deep into personal relationships, build rapport with storied communities, and exert your moral influence on arbitrary militarization will bring about more or less human rights in the world.
What is activism and responsible, moral truth? Whatever you choose, Chloe’s personal challenges intersect with her activism. Her hacking abilities allow her to take on another person’s identification and find encrypted data at the top of someone’s thoughts. With such abilities, what does it mean to share your truth responsibly?
In a world where more and more folks are having their plans for their future squeezed out, will Chloe's actions incite violent backlash... or bloom into hope?

I've had my eyes on this game since it was announced. Emotional is an understatement for the roller coaster of a story you go through- the highest of highs to make you feel hopeful and victorious through the lowest of lows but you are caught and helped where there is nowhere to go. The characters you encounter all have their own unique motivations and grow as progress. The choices are both engaging and agonizing at the same time, the story tears at your feelings to go one way where you know you can do something but your logical senses to tell you to go another way- and neither choice is wrong, it is just a choice- and the consequences that come with it. The art direction of this game is a wonder, instead of a flat motion of movement you are brought into an incredible cinematographic feature, running feels like running, moving from one location to another has a special sort of movement to it much like a tv show or movie. Musically the soundtrack is great, especially the opening song. This game is worth your money.
alden is my babygirl
Very smart with a really interesting story. The art style and music give it such a cool aesthetic, love it!
Lush character art, interesting choices, and a lot of dramatic tension!! Alden is also my babygirl. But Torrent, can't resist him...
Really unique, gorgeous visuals, memorable characters, and a lovely soundtrack!
When trying to dismantle abusive, hierarchical systems that seem too deeply entrenched to be excisable, it's important to imagine (or be shown) what such a process might look like. Solace State isn't a manual, but it is a space for thought and reflection on what we are willing to accept, to notice or ignore. It's close enough to the state of our world, but distant enough to be its own story. It focuses on collective action, on personal struggles growing into decentralised movements, but also small moments of connection, and the toll that this work takes on people. If you're new to some of the ideas it presents, it's an engaging way to look at the world. And if you're not, it might make you feel less alone in your (our?) struggle.
One of the most visually unique and stunning games I have ever played. The storyline provides a wild ride right from the start. A real groundbreaking narrative game.
I like how this game respected my decisions.
Passionate, well-researched, and with an innovative presentation style. I'm really impressed with the way the game handles choice and makes the characters' actions feel impactful and consequential, while boasting some fun action and hacking set pieces to spice things up. There were times where I felt like pushing at the edges of the story I think the game was trying to tell, and being pleasantly surprised when the game obliged. Overall a special experience that feels unique in the world of video game cyberpunk stories; this is an easy recommendation from me for anyone into narrative games.
Nice graphics and design! Characters are interesting, especially Chloe. Good writing! I look forward to more. The music is memorable.
