About
SNUG is a management layer for NTFS compression — the lossless, transparent compression already built into Windows. Instead of digging through file properties or memorizing compact.exe commands, you get a clean interface to compress folders, apps, and games with a click.
Built on NTFS compression: SNUG doesn't invent its own compression format. It drives the native Windows compression engine — the same technology behind compact.exe — so your files stay fully supported and there's nothing proprietary locking you in.
Transparent and lossless: Compressed files work exactly as before — open, edit, and save them like any other file. Windows decompresses them on the fly while SNUG works in the background.
Real savings on the right files: Compression works best on text, code, documents, and game assets. Already-compressed files like most videos, JPEGs, and MP3s won't shrink much, and SNUG is upfront about what's actually worth compressing.
Light on resources: Because Windows handles the actual work, SNUG stays out of the way with minimal CPU and RAM usage.
Set it and forget it: Choose the folders you want compressed and SNUG handles the rest, automatically compressing new files as they're added.
Auto-import apps, games, and software: SNUG can detect and import installed applications, games, and software for easy compression.
One-click compression for project files: Quickly find and compress project folders for software like Photoshop, Blender, Unity, and more.
No file modification: Files are reduced on disk without changing their contents, so they stay fully compatible with their original applications.
If your drive is filling up with games and loose files, SNUG makes Windows' own compression genuinely easy to use — no command line, no guesswork. Reclaim disk space with a tool that's honest about how it works.

годная утилита хорошо сжимает игры,жаль что сжимает только игры из стима
Well, I must say I've been hear a lot about CompressorX on YouTube and people are saving a lot of space, I have to say it CompressorX is doing a great job compressing my games and saving storage, but what bothers me that it gets renamed nonstop, but the name of the folder remains the same.
what can i say i love it! i've saved around 750 GB that's pretty good especially with the price of SSD's. i don't compress games that i plan to mod. And don't expect to save a ton of space on well optimized games like gta 5.
şu dönemde kullanılacak en peak tool
Yani alanımı yüksek oranla artırcağını umuyordum ve sadece 60 Megabayt artırdı. İstiyorsanız alın
This program does exactly what it says it does. You have options for compression speed v.s. density, which is good. You can still play the compressed games afterwards, which makes this fantastic. Alternatively, you can decompress the games later, if you so choose.
Tried it to regain some space on my gaming laptop. Some games were negligible decreases in storage, but some went from 80 gigs to about 50-60. I played with the ones that were highly compressed and didn't notice anything different so far. Will update if it caused issues.
Super helpful to help save some space
Compressor is a small little app that works its magic by reducing apps sizes through some clever algorithm techniques. It does work and I highly recommend it (especially to people with either a lot of games, large games or smaller drives for gaming). However, I wish the app could detect other games beyond the ones in your Steam Library. Overall, I recommend the app, but it has potential to be improved upon.
