''Try not to punt a slime into the stars because of cuteness aggression'' The Game
Sooooooo fun!

This game is incredibly chill and fun. You can get at least 40 hours of quality content out of it, and anyone will and can enjoy it. Definitely would reccomend.
I wan to like this game, I really do, but the first one's just better in my opinion. Sure it doesn't look as good visually but it just feels better from start to finish. I have tried this game a couple of times not really liking it but thinking "It'll get better, it's in early acces for a reason" but it's not in early acces anymore and it still feels the same. I like some of the new slime they added Like Cotton, Batty and and Angler. But then there's some others... Flutter slimes are not fun, niether are Ringtailes. Flutter slimes eat one piece of food, not one type of food, ONE VERY SPESIFIC PIECE OF FOOD. Moondew Necter, you can't grow it and you can't reliably get it unless you want to go to the one area it spawns in during the night cause it only spawns during the night. Now I get you can merge Flutter slimes with something else. What if I don't want to do that? Do I just haveto deal with the worts slime to feed because of that that? Yay. And it got worse whenthey added drones cause you need 100 Flutter plorts for one drone. This litte sparkly prick hase a chokehold on you ranchs efficency unless you have them merged with something else. And then there's ring tail, Pink slimes but worse. Just like Pink slimes Ringtails don' have a diet, or a favorite food unlike Pinkslimes their Plorts are actualy kind of valuable Whith any other slime you can feed them without any worry of over feeding them cause the ones that get the food first will get full and let the others eat after. Ringtails just keep eating. You can feed your corral of 10 Ringtails more than enough to feed all of them, but you might still lose out on some plorts because the one that would have been full just kept eating. Slime science is probably the biggest reason why this game feels different... in a bad way for me. In the first game it was a mid to late game thing that you only got accese to after you hade most of your ranch unlocked and set the way you want it and it was purely decorational or small convineses. In this game you have it from the start because it is tied directly to your upgrades. you want something as simple as a tier one upgarde? Plorts, resources and money, all for one small upgrade. You don't have alot of any of those things in the early game so it is way more of a timeconsuming thing than it probably shoud be. In the first game you hade the choice of "upgrade or improve the ranch?" and it was one button in this game it is a way more time consuming thing, you likely don't have everything you need so you need to go out and spend time getting those things. It got to the pint for me where I wound only get resources when I absolutely need it because my ranch is what earns me money, money that I need for said upgrades btw. it is such an awkward back and forth in this game. And eventualy Slime science is becomes a part of progressing the game. and it needed plorts from slimes that I didn't have on my rach beacuse I hade been busy getting resources instead of improving my ranch by adding more slimes. Coops are still terrible. They tried to fix it with a new slime that helps Henhens make more Chickadoos but it's not enough. Small thing if you're a compleationist (which I thought I was going to be when it came to this game considering Igot 100% on the first) Radiant slimes anre a thing in this game. They are variants of the base slimes. Visually different but functionally the same. And they are all super rare and they all have their onw indevidual entrie in the Slimepedia, and you need to get every sinlge one if you want 100% achievments. Hope you like RNG based achievments. Any ways if any of this sound incoherant or like a drunk man wrote it, that's brobably cause I'm writing this at 00:45am and egnlish is not my first language. I'm going to bed.
my favorite indie game of all time. 100% worth the price. bought the game 2 times on accident but i don't regret it. only complaint is that there's no native mac version. i'm running it through sikarugir on a mac book air m1 right now but i still love it. even on the lowest graphics settings the game is gorgeous. also has one of my favorite OSTs ever. 10/10 game you GOTTA try it.
