Slender: The Arrival hat mich sofort in seinen Bann gezogen. Mit einfachen, aber wirkungsvollen Mitteln erschafft es eine Atmosphäre, die gleichzeitig unheimlich und faszinierend ist. Dunkle Wälder, verlassene Gebäude und das ständige Gefühl, verfolgt zu werden, all das sorgt für eine Spannung, die kaum nachlässt. Besonders stark ist aber, dass hier nicht irgendein Gegner auftritt, sondern Slenderman selbst, eine absolute Kultfigur. Für viele von uns ist er ein Stück Internet und Gaming Kindheit. Die alten Slender The Eight Pages Nächte, als man mit Freunden zitternd vor dem Bildschirm saß und beim ersten Blick auf die gesichtslose Gestalt panisch die Maus aus der Hand fallen ließ. The Arrival greift genau dieses Gefühl wieder auf und baut es mit mehr Story, Abwechslung und besserer Grafik aus, ohne den ursprünglichen Charme zu verlieren. Das Spiel ist damit nicht nur ein solider Horror Titel, sondern auch eine Art nostalgisches Erlebnis, das Erinnerungen an eine Zeit weckt, in der Slenderman noch als das unheimlichste Wesen des Internets galt. Wer Gänsehaut sucht und vielleicht ein Stück Kindheit wieder aufleben lassen möchte, sollte Slender The Arrival definitiv ausprobieren.
