Slender: The Arrival is a solid horror game with a clear connection to the original Slender experience. You can absolutely see the influence of the original game in the atmosphere, pacing, and overall design, and it’s cool to see that concept expanded into a more complete experience. The environments are dark and unsettling, and the sound design does a good job of keeping you on edge. Visually, the game still looks good, and the presentation is simple but effective at building tension rather than relying only on jump scares. On Normal or Easy difficulty, the game is actually very straightforward. A full playthrough can be surprisingly quick, and you can easily finish it in under an hour once you know what you’re doing. For casual players who just want to experience the story and atmosphere, it’s very accessible. However, everything changes when you start going for achievements. That’s when the game becomes genuinely horrible in terms of difficulty. The achievements are well designed but extremely punishing, especially the timed ones. They require near-perfect runs, exact movement, and strong knowledge of each level. One mistake can ruin an entire run, and it can make you feel like pulling your hair out. Nightmare Mode takes this to another level. It is easily 1000 times harder than Normal or Easy, turning simple sections into stressful and unforgiving challenges. What was once manageable becomes relentless, and completing achievements on this difficulty takes a lot of patience and repeated attempts. Overall, Slender: The Arrival is easy to enjoy but very hard to master. The base game is simple and approachable, but the achievement grind and Nightmare Mode are extremely challenging and can be frustrating. If you just want a quick horror experience, it’s great. If you’re a completionist, be ready for pain.

Positive : - Short lifespan but just enough to be scared - Beautiful Graphisms and very well optimized (especially the Anniversary Edition) - Soundtracks are just perfect to fit with the ambience of this game - The new bonus level is really good, even if it's short Negative : - The Story is really secondary, I think (Except the fact we have to find our childhood friend, but that's all.) Otherwise, this is the best Slender game ever ! I recommand it !
