Join the SKYGUARD and shoot bots, buy guns, and fly your way to victory (and a paycheck) in this action-packed, couch co-op, third-person shooter. Xbox controllers required.
Armed with nothing but guns and attitude, play as a team of up to 4-players or strike it solo as you defend against waves of robots bent on grounding the fleet of airships you've been hired to protect. Glide from ship to ship to keep up with the robots' onslaught, and find some pocket change to spend at the gun upgrade shop while you do!
Upgrade your gun with a variety of barrel and ammo types to really start bringing the firepower in your own, unique way.
This project was planned, designed, and developed by a team of undergraduate students over the course of a year as a capstone, senior project for the BYU Center for Animation. We are extremely proud of the what we have accomplished during that time. With that said, you will probably encounter bugs and other issues during your gameplay experience that reflect both our experience (or lack thereof) and our tight development cycle. Many of us are moving on to jobs or graduate school, meaning updates post-release are very unlikely. Regardless, we appreciate your time and feedback, and hope you enjoy your time with SKYGUARD!

Mouse and keyboard is not supported (in an EGOSHOOTER, mind you - this is either stupid or lazy) and my controller doesn't work why so ever.
So I love the gameplay loop, visuals, music and aesthetics so far. However there are clearly some things that need to be tidied up. Being able to shoot your gun while dead is not intended, im sure. Also clipping through the ship/environment when hit by bots happens sometimes, though not often in my experience. I had a difficult time getting the settings to "save" my aim setting adjustments. It would just revert to showing the default values even if my aim/camera speed had actually changed in game. I dont know if there is a sprint function or not, but it would be nice. There may be and I potentially just missed it. Its a fun gameplay loop that doesnt require a ton of thinking and is a blast with friends. All of this being said, I would LOVE to have the option to use M&K if possible. My aim is complete dogwater with a control and sniping just didnt feel good due to the sensitivity combined with my own lack of skill with a controller. Please devs!!!! Add MnK support!!!

Decent game. It being on steam for PC with controller only support is not a good choice tho. 5/10 Bring mouse and keyboard support.
I bet the guy who designed the guns is a cool fella
The fact that this was a student project absolutely baffles me.

This game is a pretty amazing arcade style shooter. With a pretty good game play loop, I would say it's like a couple updates away form being an absolutely amazing game. That being said, currently it feels unfinished in a lot of ways. Like for example the lack of keyboard and mouse support in an fps shooter made in 2025 is wild. On top of that the game play only last for 10 minutes and there no endless mod or character leveling nothing. That being said I think that this game could be like the airship equivalent of cod zombies if giving the right updates. What I mean by that is that this game would work really well as a round based endless survival game were you upgrade your weapons and survive as long as possible. Additionally, if the game had more gun variants and a character upgrade system of some sort it would greatly improve the game play. (with keyboard and mouse support of course.) Now you may be asking in the games current state would I recommend it, and the answer is yes it's pretty fun i just wish there was more too the game than there is.
This game is super fun! Great concept, I like how the game gets progressively more difficult but at a rate that makes it enjoyable, and I really like the soundtrack! I would definitely recommend this game to gamers of all abilities.
I played the game solo for a little bit, but even so found this capstone project enjoyable! Sure there are some hiccups here and there, but for a student team it is incredibly well done! The game would have really benefited from mouse and keyboard support (though I could play it with M+K well enough), but it offers lots of visual fine tuning options and the concept is solid! Well done to the students!
