Nobody will read my review so I will eat 1 Tablespoon of Spicy Ketchup for every like this gets. I fully respect my parent's decision to disown me.
SkiFy by Blup Games is a small, minimalist flying experience that positions itself less as a traditional simulation and more as a relaxed, almost meditative sandbox. Instead of focusing on realism, progression systems, or structured objectives, the game invites players to simply take control of a light aircraft and glide through compact environments while collecting floating objects scattered across the sky. The premise is intentionally low-pressure, designed to create a calm and accessible experience where the act of flying itself is the primary source of engagement. In its opening moments, SkiFy can feel pleasantly straightforward. The controls are easy to grasp, and there is no steep learning curve or complex system standing between the player and the core activity. You pick a plane, enter a level, and begin flying almost immediately. The lack of failure states or strict time constraints reinforces the game’s relaxed tone, making it approachable even for players who are not typically drawn to flight-based games. There is a certain appeal in this simplicity, especially for those looking for something lightweight and undemanding. However, this simplicity quickly reveals its limitations. The central gameplay loop—flying through small environments and collecting objects—remains largely unchanged throughout the experience. There is little sense of progression or escalation, and the game does not introduce new mechanics or meaningful variations to keep the player engaged over time. What begins as a calming activity can gradually feel repetitive, as each session offers little more than a slight variation of the same task. Without a stronger sense of purpose or evolving challenges, the experience struggles to maintain interest beyond short play sessions. The flight mechanics themselves are functional but lack refinement. While they are not overly complex, they also do not provide the smooth, responsive feeling that would make flying inherently satisfying. Movements can feel slightly awkward, and the control scheme is not always intuitive, particularly when trying to make precise adjustments. In a game where the entire experience revolves around navigating through the air, these shortcomings become more noticeable over time. Instead of enhancing the sense of freedom, the controls sometimes create a subtle but persistent disconnect between intention and execution. Level design further contributes to the game’s sense of limitation. The environments are small and relatively simple, with few distinguishing features to make them memorable. It does not take long to become familiar with each space, and the visible boundaries of the maps can break immersion, reminding players of the game’s constrained scope. The collectible-based objectives do little to deepen interaction with these environments, as they rarely require creative navigation or thoughtful exploration. Instead, they function more as passive markers to guide movement rather than meaningful gameplay elements. Visually, SkiFy adopts a clean but barebones aesthetic. The landscapes are colorful enough to avoid feeling completely lifeless, but they lack the detail and variety needed to create a strong sense of place. The presentation feels more functional than expressive, serving the gameplay without adding much in the way of atmosphere or identity. The audio design is more effective, with a soft, unobtrusive soundtrack that complements the game’s intended mood. While not particularly memorable, it does contribute to the overall sense of calm that the game is aiming for. Another aspect that shapes the overall experience is the limited amount of content. There are only a handful of environments and activities to engage with, and once they have been explored, there is little incentive to return. The game does not offer additional modes, deeper progression systems, or meaningful customization options that could extend its lifespan. This makes it feel more like a brief experiment or a prototype built around a single idea rather than a fully developed product. In the end, SkiFy succeeds in delivering exactly what it sets out to be: a simple, low-stress flying experience that can be enjoyed in short bursts. For players who value relaxation over challenge and are content with a minimalistic approach, it can provide a small window of quiet enjoyment. However, its lack of depth, repetitive structure, and underdeveloped mechanics prevent it from leaving a lasting impression. It is a game that feels complete in its concept but limited in its execution, offering a momentary escape rather than a fully engaging experience. Rating: 5/10
Press SPACE to kill yourself. 66/6 "I would press SPACE again" - IGN
For an 1 euro game, you atleast get something, but it needs improvement. Pros + Works well, no crashes and such. + Optimized well. + Controls aren't difficult or confusing. Cons - Only one music track that keeps playing. - Only the first stage loads for me. Conclusion Buy this if you want, it's not a bad game, but not a great game either, only the first stage loads for me.
This is a very relaxing game. Perfect for when you're in between matches or if you need something to unwind yourself after a long session of gaming. Very very afffordable game and for the price, it's made decently well. The sound track in this game is phenominal. It's able to tie everything together to make the game more relaxing and enjoyable. the controls take a bit to get used to but after ten minites of playing, you'll get the hang of it.
