Ski Sniper is an unapologetically strange and tongue-in-cheek first-person shooter that fully embraces its absurd premise and builds a surprisingly cohesive arcade experience around it. Developed and published by Crazy Rocks, the game centers on a single, highly specific idea: using sniper rifles to take down skiers as they launch off ramps and soar through the air. Rather than attempting to justify this scenario with lore or realism, the game leans into its novelty, presenting itself as a lighthearted challenge built on timing, precision, and spectacle rather than narrative or simulation. The core gameplay loop is simple but effective. Players position themselves at fixed vantage points overlooking ski jumps and must line up shots against fast-moving targets that follow predictable but demanding trajectories. The challenge comes from reading the skier’s speed, height, and arc while accounting for distance and weapon behavior. As players progress, objectives expand beyond simply landing a hit, asking for precision shots, consecutive kills, or specific conditions that encourage mastery rather than random firing. This structure gives each level a distinct rhythm and turns what could have been a one-note gimmick into a test of patience and aim. A major part of what elevates Ski Sniper beyond a basic shooting gallery is its use of cinematic mechanics. Slow-motion aiming allows players to carefully adjust their shot mid-action, turning tense moments into deliberate calculations. When a shot is fired, the game often shifts into a bullet-cam perspective, following the projectile through the air and amplifying the satisfaction of a well-timed hit. An exaggerated X-ray effect highlights the impact in graphic detail, clearly inspired by over-the-top sniper shooters, and reinforces the game’s arcade sensibilities rather than any attempt at realism. These features add personality and replay appeal, making even repeated actions feel rewarding. Weapon variety also plays a role in keeping the experience engaging. While traditional sniper rifles form the backbone of the arsenal, unlocking alternative weapons such as crossbows changes how players approach each scenario. Differences in projectile speed, drop, and handling encourage experimentation and add subtle layers of strategy to otherwise straightforward stages. Although the selection is limited, it is enough to prevent the gameplay from feeling static, especially during short play sessions. Visually, the game opts for clarity and functionality over visual extravagance. Snowy environments, ski ramps, and distant mountain backdrops are simple but readable, ensuring that players can focus on targets without unnecessary distractions. Character animations are exaggerated to ensure visibility during high-speed jumps, which is essential for gameplay readability. Sound design complements this approach, with clear audio cues for shots, impacts, and slow-motion sequences that enhance feedback without overwhelming the experience. Where Ski Sniper shows its limitations is in depth and longevity. Once players have experienced the core mechanics and completed the available challenges, there is little in the way of long-term progression or evolving systems. The game does not attempt to introduce new mechanics or dramatic twists later on, relying instead on the inherent fun of its central idea. For some players, this makes the experience ideal for quick, repeatable sessions; for others, the novelty may wear thin after extended play. Overall, Ski Sniper succeeds by understanding exactly what it wants to be and refusing to overcomplicate itself. It is a compact, arcade-style shooter built around precision, timing, and exaggerated spectacle, delivered with a sense of humor and self-awareness that makes its bizarre concept work. While it lacks the depth, polish, and ambition of larger sniper titles, it compensates with immediacy and charm. For players who enjoy quirky indie games, skill-based shooting challenges, and short bursts of satisfying gameplay, Ski Sniper stands out as a memorable and oddly compelling oddity in Steam’s vast library. Rating: 7/10
Ski Sniper delivers on its concept. Snipers feel solid; there's a collection of various distances and angles so you can find the one that feels the most satisfying. Challenges keep it interesting for a handful of hours. Highly recommend for an afternoon or a 100% run.

To naprawdę fajna gra, do której często wracam w wolnym czasie.
