The map is interesting, quite vertical, but doesn't have the variety that 3's had. Too much concrete and wooden ramps. The vibe is your typical modern slop clearly made by people that don't understand the first thing about what made skate culture interesting. Progression is... okay I guess, I don't like cosmetics being random and having to farm for days to get them all. Whoever thought to put daily quests/BP/EXP timegating mechanics in this needs to be blacklisted from the industry forever. I could excuse all the bad, however : The mechanics are simply not tight enough. The shift to fully physics based is great for tiktok heeheehaha moments and casual freeroam, but is absolutely horrid for the challenges that require precise tricks and technical lines. There's a lot of jank regarding objective completion, collisions and jump trajectory. Inconsistent is what describes it best. The trick priority is some utter nonsense and the new bail mechanics shouldn't be mixed with trick challenges. It's still free (but bloated with micros) and regularly updated, but I can't even justify it as a chillout game.
predatory montezation for little content, would've ben betrter as a paid experience
