Alright friends this one is a little weird but I'd consider it pretty good. What you see before you is some weird mix of quake with the speed turned down and diablo-lite. After the slowest start to a game I've seen in a minute you start collecting weapons and finding relics, which can be slotted into an inventory screen and provide buffs like shooting 2 bullets out of the plasma gun. If you play it straight forward to the end you can practically ignore it, and farming doesn't seem super viable anywhere, but going into the second difficulty will require a bit of time to get stronger. Overall I enjoy the gunplay and even though enemy variety is low I feel they all serve a purpose.
A pretty simple, but fun retro shooter with a nice variety of weapons and upgrades

SINNED is quite a special and weird addition to all these boomer shooters. It is a strange mix of things that it does well and things it does not do well. But overall I like this game and I think it is slightly above average. The originality in some of the things this game does deserve to be rewarded imo. What it does well is the level design and the environment overall. The bosses are probably the better fights here compared to the regular enemies, which is very unusual for a boomer shooter! They are quite good. The weapon arsenal is decent enough, but the best thing about it is that there is an upgrade system which gives this game some RPG elements. You pick up demon souls, which are like currency/gold for upgrading your weapons. There are also 3 slots for upgrading the character himself. Weapons may be upgraded with say, bigger explosions for the rocket launcher. Or being able to make arrows pierce even more targets with the bow. Character upgrades involve gaining more armor than normally when picking up armor pickups, or making powerup pickups last longer. Overall this game delivers a strange mix of being an RPG and a boomer shooter in one game. When you try to upgrade your stuff to the maximum, there is a risk that it might break. And this chance increases the more you upgrade said piece of gear. I understand the intention here: Making it feel like once you finaly get that maxed out item then you have something rare and powerful. However, for people who just want a fast boomer shooter, this may seem like a weird design decision. It is like the RPG aspect is in conflict with the boomer shooter aspect honestly. Combat in this game is.....Alright. The regular enemies can hit you and overwhelm you if you do not pay attention. Melee enemies just charge at you and can be kited easily. There are areas where horde of enemies get thrown at you at once and it can be challenging. The game also has two difficulty levels, and you must play through the normal difficulty to earn the next one, keeping all of your souls and equipment. (Again a RPG element here.) Purgatory grants more rewards of souls because there are more enemies to kill. Overall the combat is simple, but good enough and definetly not complete trash. Only complaint I have for this is that in the beginning, the shotgun and the pistol alone feel kinda dull, and it only really gets better after maybe 1 or 2 levels. Also the shotgun in this game kinda sucks, it is actually the worst weapon in the game (Maybe if fully upgraded with 2 pieces of equipment upped fully it will be different) The enemies are not that interresting, however the green shotgun guys actually look REALLY NICE when they fire and they are dangerous, so a bit mixed there. All the enemies add to the atmosphere though. The secrets in this game are quite good. There were a few ones I actually really liked. One with a teleporter that you had to activate then run back to open it. And one where huge secrets were hidden BEHIND a portal (Instead of entering the portal.) I still need to finish purgatory difficulty, but I already know what it is like. Overall it is definetly a positive experience. Also I did not encounter any bugs or anything like that at all. Get this if you want a boomer shooter that is a little weird, but DO NOT expect a very fast paced boomer shooter like Quake. You do not even walk that fast in this game. EDIT: There are 3 items that can be upgraded for the shotgun, and it is rather time consuming and costs alot of souls to do it, but once you have those 3 in decent levels it becomes pretty good. (Base gun just sucks and really needs those upgrades.)
A fun little game I will delve deeper into when the mood and time is right! But; from what i have played so far, I would absolutely recomend it
It's very good but I give it 6/10 because the maps are just too big for how slow you are. Either the maps should've smaller or bunny hopping should've been in the game.
As promised, now that the difficulty has been reduced, here comes an edit of my first review : In this glorious era of boomer shooters comes a new challenger : Sinned. Like Dusk, HROT or Cultic, Sinned embrace a gorgeous retro, ps1-like aesthetic mixed with a more actual gameplay. If you know those games, you will be in charted territory. Basically, you will slaughter demons with an arsenal of various weapons, and search for coloured keys to progress through levels. A well-known recipe. But if Sinned won't reinvent the wheel, it shines with its art direction, and deliver a top-notch hellish atmosphere. I love the graphics, horrifics and minimalists at the same time, they really give you the feeling of crossing infernal regions. The sounds effects are efficient as well. That being said, be prepared, this game will challenge your skills. You will be allowed to save only at specific moments, and tons of aggressive ennemies are waiting to rip you apart betwwen two checkpoints !
Nejsem hráč Doom her spíše hraji strategie . I přes to však je hra pro mě zábavná. Hra není nejjednodušší avšak řekl bych že to je dobře a spíše než těžká bych ji označil z a výzvu předkládající a to v dobrém slova smyslu. Obecně bych ji doporučil,
