SINce Memories: Off The Starry Sky

[h2] シリーズファン待望のメモオフ後継作がsteamに登場！[/h2] [h3]★ 作品の概要＆簡単な紹介 ★[/h3] ・メモオフ後継作として2021年に発売。公式通称は「シンメモ」 ・メモオフシリーズと世界観と同じとし、どちらかというと従来シリーズファン向け ・読了まで18時間程度、各ヒロイン√で似たような話の展開あり 　2018年に第8作目となる「メモリーズオフ -Innocent Fille-」が発売され、幕を閉じたメモオフシリーズ…だったのだが、シリーズ20周年記念を経た2021年に発売された本作。公式曰くシリーズのコンセプトを引き継いだ「完全新作」との事。といっても過去作と同様に澄空を舞台とし、背景も過去作からの流用も見られることから「メモオフ」の続編といっても過言ではない内容である。 　先に結論を言うと[b]「シリーズ未プレイの人にはおすすめできない」[/b]というのが個人的な感想。先にSteamで遊べる（安価な）過去作をプレイした後、本作を購入するか判断するのがおすすめ。シリーズファンであれば、かつて楽しんだ昔を思い出して遊ぶのもよいが、歴代作に比べるとヒロイン同士の葛藤やぶつかり合いといったメモオフらしさが薄いのは残念。 　詳しいシナリオ概略はストアページ＆公式を見てもらうとして、「主人公と親しかった人が故人」というメモオフ５から続く設定が本作にも踏襲されており、主人公が大学生という年齢設定であることからも、歴代シリーズの中で雰囲気が一番近いのは「メモオフ５」であろう。メモオフ６・７は色々と弾けた内容だったが、本作はギャルゲーらしいマイルドな仕上がり。シリーズ恒例の胸糞悪いBADENDも健在だが、直近の６・７よりはマシとなっている。 　肝心のストーリーは「可もなく不可もなし」といったところ。ただ、[b]5人もヒロインがいるにも関わらず、似たようなシナリオ展開がある[/b]のは気になる部分。最終的に結ばれるヒロインが違うのは当たり前だが、その過程が似たような道筋を辿るため、途中で飽きる人いるかもしれない。本作のFDが発売されなかった結果、複数の魅力的なキャラクターが攻略不可のままとなり、彼女らの背景があまり語られなかったのは惜しいところ。 　CGの質は良いだけに、シナリオがもう少し良ければメモオフ代表作の１つとして紹介できたであろう本作。25周年記念による続編「メモリーズオフ 双想 ～Not always true～」の登場によって、本作の立ち位置も微妙になってしまった。残念なことに公式のシリーズ一覧にラインナップされておらず、「シン」というタイトル名がより一層、悲愁を誘う。 　ただ、UIも順当に改善されており、シナリオ崩壊という訳でもないので純粋なノベルゲームとしては平均点以上。シリーズ作品という色眼鏡を通さなければ、十分楽しめる内容ではある。ファン向けの作品だが、絵買いで購入すると幸せになれるのは、この手のゲームによくある話。お財布と相談のうえ、休日のお供としてどうぞ。 [h2]個人的おすすめ攻略順[/h2] [spoiler] 春玉・優梨子 ⇒ 陽詩 ⇒ 英 ⇒ ちはや パッケージヒロイン2名を最後に遊ぶのがオススメ。構成上、ちはや√を最後に遊ぶのがいいと思うが、英√と被る部分も多いので新鮮な気持ちで遊びたいのであれば先に攻略したほうがよい。[/spoiler]

Developer MAGES., perhaps in an attempt to diversify its fans tastes (particularly those fans of its massively popular Science Adventure series), have chosen to release SINce Memories in English as the Memories Off series's first foray into the West. SINce Memories, like many other game in its parent series, mixes strong character development with a vibe of mystery. You follow Junya Mizumoto, a young man who bore witness to the tragic death of his brother in a car accident one year before the story begins, as he interacts with friends, helps solve their inner turmoils and traumas, all while chipping away at his own insecurities in the process. Tragedy gouges the soul, but life moves ever forward. Let’s be clear: SINce Memories isn’t just a simple romance affair. It’s heavy on the mystery too, and its first question is apparent from the start: what were the circumstances behind Junya's brother’s death? Junya, suffering from memory loss of the incident, knows little more than us—but it soon becomes clear what happened that day was less a misfortunate accident than it is the tip of the iceberg of conspiracy: a large-scale, multifaceted riddle that must be solved if Junya wants to bring the answers to light and reach the best possible future. SINce Memories's art and general presentation is memorable, presenting a starry sky motif you can't help but truly admire by the time you've reached the game's conclusion. Moreover, the soundtrack is a treat—fans of MAGES.' other games won't be disappointed, as the same composer returns for SINce Memories to deliver some snazzy compositions. SINce Memories's biggest flaw lies in its translation. The game itself is quite enjoyable in spite of any issues, but it becomes quickly evident that it has a massive typo problem, resulting in funny but tragic mistakes like, "my old man spud around on his heel" or "we decided to have a smell celebration on the final day." The occasional larger mistranslation also hurts the experience. We are hopeful the publisher will take this feedback to heart and improve next time—it's clear the translation team knew what it was doing but made some slipups, perhaps due to a lacking deadline, and there is an evident lack of quality control (hence, typos). All in all, though, SINce Memories is a treat and a strong entry point to the charms and vibe of the Memories Off series, for those looking get their start with it. Here's hoping we'll see more localizations in the future!

[h1]令人失望的精神续作[/h1] [table] [tr] [th]游戏由SteamPY鉴赏家提供[/th] [/tr] [tr] [td]SteamPY鉴赏家[/td] [/tr] [tr] [td][h3]上SteamPY淘海量超低价游戏[/h3][/td] [/tr] [/table] 如果这款游戏没有挂着“继承了Memories Off系列的理念”的口号，那我还是愿意给游戏一个好评，但作为一个秋回老粉，我对本作感到很失望。虽然可攻略角色是5个，但实际上却是3条剧情主线，千飒与英在个人线上有大量重复内容，同样的问题也出现在春玉和优梨子线上，我怀疑中途还砍掉了一条蓝乃的线，这个体量实在是配不上136的价格。 除了游戏体量和价格问题，本作有一个非常膈应人的设定，开局就告诉你千飒有了未婚夫，然后我们还得顶着这个debuff一直和她相处，然后阳诗各种暗示要我们把她抢回来，千飒也一直用“发小”这个名义和我们保持着暧昧关系，搞得我们就和小三一样，玩的时候带着一种莫名其妙的背德感。而且千飒明明喜欢的是隼也，却同意和木户订婚，尽管在最后会说明原因，但解释得很牵强，明明她的性格是做不了决定，可还是决定和木户订婚，并且在订婚后的一年里也没有任何反悔，给我一种又当又立的感觉，说真的我觉如果不加这个设定观感会好很多。 另一个问题是不同路线的割裂感很大，千飒、英和阳诗线更像是悬疑剧，而春玉和优梨子更像日常恋爱剧，这是由于本作是6个编剧合写的，看起来更像是一锅大杂烩，质量也是良莠不齐。我最不满意的是英线，不仅把木户塑造成了一个下三滥的小人，还把秋回系列重要的NPC稻穗信也拉下了水，差点遗臭万年，我作为老玩家来说感到十分愤怒，你但凡换个其他角色我都不会生气，真的就是在消费老玩家的情怀。 至于美术和音乐我觉得都还不错，但无奈剧情太让人失望，我非常不建议大家原价购买，实在想玩可以等骨折再考虑。

It's amazing to finally experience the Memories Off series for the first time in English.

MO老粉路過，來留個小小心得。 平心而論，除了劇情之外，其他表現都相當出色，無論是畫面、音樂，都做得非常到位，該給的肯定還是要給。 不才小弟也親自全破了所有結局，結果是一個比一個讓人傻眼，甚至爛到讓我邊玩邊笑，某種程度上也算是達到了「娛樂效果」。 邏輯方面實在有點跳躍，台詞轉折也稍嫌生硬，常常讓人忍不住出戲。 不過，我還是一路堅持看到最後。 可能是因為我是從1代玩到現在的死忠粉絲，也可能只是單純想看看，這劇本到底還能多離奇。 結果，最後只剩下一聲嘆息，說不出的失望。

只值个”MO精神续作“的情怀钱，如果不是喜欢MO的话还是别买了，能拿出来看的也只有人设了，在剧情方面简直是一坨，我的评价是不会写就不要写

恋爱部分还可以，但游戏里埋下的伏笔并没有完全回收，导致两大分支路线到最后几乎是没有联系，有点意犹未尽的感觉。另外这么喜欢写政治戏是想让大家看看日本是有多封建落后吗？

画风我挺喜欢，截图是真不好截。音乐是不错，剧情部分有点无聊。价格还是贵的，推荐等骨折吧。

SINce Memories: Off the Starry Sky is a slice of life visual novel with a lot of enjoyable moments and a lot of frustrating writing. The ends justify the means, and it is one of the best produced visual novels I have read (art, cgs, soundtrack, engine, translation), but the pacing isn't excellent and the protagonist can be frustrating. I don't normally read slice of life focused visual novels, but this is one of the better ones I've read, but I'd pick it up on sale over full price.
