Silent Earth is a short sci-fi text adventure about finding one’s place despite an uncertain future. Explore an off-world mining colony ship, navigate multi-linear character relationships, and steer the story toward one of five endings.

Text-driven adventures sometimes fail to feel consistent in their way of offering choices. Not this one. It feels like a Sci-Fi book that is written while you play and follow your path along a story that is based on the one premise: You are on a huge spaceship, more like an ark it seems, and suddenly Earth has ceased contact. There is no explanation given, but no need for that. The telling makes it easy to follow the lead, and even though some loose ends are left behind, it still feels like living a story. You are given the choice where to go, who to talk to and depending on that the ending varies. Honestly, I lack experience playing text adventures, but this one is well executed and fells smooth and real while playing, so for free there is no harm trying. Obviously, there is no graphic, so no remarks on that, but the music feels a bit displaced and weird. In my opinion, there would have been better choices for the soundtrack on a spaceship. Take that as a personal opinion. Play time depends on your reading speed, i finished my path in under half an hour, but I will return and try something else, because there is something left to discover. This game is very interesting and story rich. It's text-based interface reminds me of that one google assistant game.

"Silent Earth" is a frankly awful, failed attempt at making a text adventure, which could have been done in a browser, but the developers decided it needs to compete with GTA:V and CS:GO here on Steam. It's not free, the developers want some money, but it looks like they failed to get any as the peak player count shows. What do you do in the game? Click on text in this garbage CYOA e-book (not game). Modern gaming, being a rich, visually interactive medium, requires at least passable visuals for any acceptable entry into the annals of the industry. Here, the developers didn't know how to do that, so you just get some static pictures and a bunch of text. Like I said, this could have been a web page. I don't think Steam was intended to compete with Chrome and Firefox. This is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for a $4 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to buy some extra DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
The situation, characters and call for action are all set up well for the beginning of a great story. There are lots of nice themes being built that could take this game in so many different directions. An ambitious adventure for the characters and ambitious plot for the writers. Although, I only came to one of the endings. I hope they all sound as interesting as the one I ended with. I hope the developers aren't finished yet. This free game doesn't feel like a full game but rather a test or set-up for a future, more detailed game. I think the plot and characters are interesting enough to go all the way. Please continue the story! A Mass Effect-like world would be fun if you have the budget! :D A point n click would work too. And, again, if it remains text-based (cuz text-based is cool, too), need to bring the readers further into the world and make the user experience nicer. The black screen does have a feeling of reading in a void. And I turned off the music half way through. I thought that the progression of the game, as it is, already does the same things as a point n click game such as being able to hover over words/objects to get more detail. Just needs more development and encouragement to keep going.
Its exactly as advertised. LGBT friendly, too, judging by what I saw of the character interactions. A choose your own adventure in space, short and free.
Great sci-fi text adventure. The story is interesting and the music is decent.

Pretty smooth to navigate, doesn't lock in choices. I quite liked it. That said it was rather forceful for a choose your own adventure. I did four endings and none of them felt like something I would choose. All pretty depressing for some reason. That said, I think it did a good job with setting and tone and overall would really enjoy seeing more like this.
