Game is moving to GameJolt (whats that? i dont know) Its Free. Get it or Nah.
"Shrieking Darkness" is a low key asset flip, a bunch of other people's assets assembled badly to make a basic game, typically this kind of thing is done by amateur developers without sufficient budget, talent and/or staff to do the job of game development professionally. It's then quickly rushed into Steam Direct. And, unsurprisingly, this never results in a product with any quality, interest, or value for gamers. This is yet another badly made asset flipped kitbashed first person horror adventure... yawn. This is considered one of the worst on Steam by reviewers, but I have seen much worse. The developer apparently had a tantrum and pulled it from Steam and is trying to sell this for money elsewhere... trying to get YOUR money for someone else's game assets. Never okay. Taking this seriously as a game, it's a plodding, incomplete, unpolished bug riddled mess where you explore a spooky house. Can't get any less original than that! So, the game might look better than you'd expect from an amateur project, but this is because it's partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Very little in this game is truly the creation of the "developer", it's just a bunch of rearranged assets. While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, it's also true they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "Shrieking Darkness". You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. It's important to note that, despite this being such a low quality product, there's a number of positive reviews that all appeared immediately after the game launched, from suspiciously inactive Steam accounts that have reviewed almost no other games apart from this. Take the review score of this game with a grain of salt. Because the game is removed from Steam (certainly a win for gamers), you can't add it to your library. Hopefully this review can at least help people understand why this failed, and why, if you do happen to have this dead game in your library before it was killed, it's not worth downloading.

игра говнище,моя видеокарта распалась на атомы после запуска (3060ti). Рекомендую эту игру только в том случае,если есть желание играть в 10fps
Game is subpar, it takes the idea of amnesia, or outlast and then slams it into a uninspired blender. Massive inventory bugs, the slow movement, while used to great effect to create a sense of hopelessness in other titles here feels forced and unnecessary, gun combat is beyond unwieldy, with a semiautomatic 9mm that feels grossly anaemic, and with a fire rate of a flint and powder musket. enemies stand completely still, removing all elements of horror, which to the designers credit was good in the opening chapter, exploring the mansion; however from there on it was poorly done, and fearing the monsters in the dark is only scary if the monsters are something to be feared. I had some confusion to the setting as well, an earlier moment had it set in 1984, but then the character uses a smartphone? sloppy. would recommend the solo dev takes this game, leans the lessons and focus on delivering quality where they can. perhaps narrowing scope. Good luck with the next one
Horrivel jogo todo bugado
