I LOVE Shotgun Pogostick... But I can't play it... or else I'll fail my classes... but it's SOOOOO GOOD
Look overall its a really fun concept with a good base and honestly lots of room for progress. But man is it lacking in polish. I can put aside the base unity skybox & lighting settings, but the camera often clips (lower near clipping in camera settings), there's not pause mene/option to pause, if you fall off the map you just keep going which can cause crashes and whatnot. Also the game starts with showing 20/60 (or so idr) items unlocked, like ??? there's not much visual language on enemies, or the tutorial. Music's good though. Plus there's a bunch of assets outside the map, and alongside what i assume is voxel based collision man would this tank your game if it had enough assets. That being said, good first indie game! Probably would've belonged more on itch.io though. Excited to see where this goes, hopefully more polished lol.

Sound doesn't work. Mouse sensitivity is set WAY too low and is not ajustable. No visible objective. There is a sign saying "need help? [tutorial]" on the wall, with no indication of how to access it. Nothing seems to be destructible? No apparent way to open doors (should we be able to?) Can see through walls if you stand next to them. So, you have a small-ish sandbox to run around with that doesn't appear to have any interactive elements.
I think getting the pizza means I won?
The game is an extremely fun concept, but lack polish. There does need to be an escape menu added, as once you're in the game you have no access to settings or to exit the game without alt+f4. There are also no actual save states for players, as all 3 save states are partially completed from the start, making it impossible to have a full experience with this game. I did notice the falling issue has been fixed, I was worried about then when I installed the game after reading reviews. I did see that the game is described as "a fully finished act and playable" and "will be released for money when the full release comes out" which I have no issue with, but the game is definitely not fully finished, and is missing very many much needed assets before being considered a fully finished product. I'm not saying that to be mean in any way, I'm more concerned that it will lead to review bombing of this game if it is released as a "finished game" in the current state. I also noticed a "♥♥♥♥ ICE" sentiment in the game. I love this. That alone has made this one of my favorite indie releases of this year.
You could do worse for a free game on Steam. Very creative gimmick, but everything feels just a little floaty. I think the shotgun needs to be faster.
Great game, for sure a fun premise. hope to see more of this!
