Shotgun Chicken

Simple, yet surprisingly difficult and potentially addictive!

Simple yet fun movement. Unlike other rage games the controls are straightforward and responsive, so if you fall it really feels like its your own fault and not just janky controls. The art style has a nice charm to it and overall pretty good visuals. I'd say the biggest weakness is the sound design, the shotgun sound effect is very flat and boring. The music is a very short loop that isn't terrible, but gets old very fast. Overall, quite good for the price. I received it for free but would have happily paid $4 for it :)

This game is like if Flappy Bird had a gun. It's extremely difficult and unforgiving. Highly recommended for all who like a challenge.

A neat little game about a chicken with a shotgun. The visuals are cute with the pixel-art style and the animations are SUPER smooth. I ended up spending a LOT more time on this game than I thought I was going to. It's fairly short, taking about an hour to beat normally. But this kind of works to it's advantage for completionists like myself, as I spent a good while doing speedrun attempts to get the speedrun skin, and because of the short level size, I don't have to spend more than like 10 minutes on a single run which would've taken me WAY longer. I got all of the skins aside from the golden one because I have no clue where to find/get it. :p The gameplay is pretty simple, akin to that of rage games like Getting Over It or Jump King, but it's not nearly as rage-inducing as those games. The physics are pretty balanced too, letting you effectively bunny hop if you spam the shotgun and letting you transfer your momentum from moving platforms. It's pretty satisfying when you've mastered the controls. I wish there could've been more levels to extend the playtime, or some additional cosmetic types for the shotgun and the shells that come out of it. But so far there are 5 skins for the chicken and no cosmetics for the shotgun. Oh well. Overall, great game. 9/10.

Found this game through the "random game" tab on speedrun.com and it's actually a gem I figured I'd try it because the record looked beatable and pretty fun and it definitely was. Also got a couple of my speedrun buddies into it as well so I hope to see some more runs on the leaderboard soon!

No lo dudes, por el precio al que está vale totalmente la pena, lo recibí de forma gratuita a cambio de streamearlo en mi canal de Twitch. Y lo más importante, al comprarlo estáis apoyando a desarrolladores indies de pocos recursos y con gran talento!!

Really challenging and interesting concept. I would love to have a windowed mode, so I can easily play and watch. The game is really hard as well, but I like the momentum you can gain while shooting at the right time.

I have enjoyed this game a lot. It's short but challenging. A good short distraction.

At first glance it seems like an extremely simple game as there's only one control (left mouse button). However, as you try to jump from platform to platform you'll notice that there are no checkpoints and you can always fall down to the start of the level. Really challenging, great style, fitting music - would recommend.
