Shoot Shoot Mega Pack

I've played this game a bunch of multiple PAXs and am super glad it's finally out. We've all had a ton of fun playing it. In a time when couch multiplayer games seem to be going by the wayside it's super nice to have a fun game that you can play with your friends that's simple and short enough that anyone can jump in whenever and override that problem where you can't figure out what to play but complex enough that it doesn't get old. I would highly recommend it. Plus, the music is really nice!

A superbly fun local multiplayer shooter! Lots of different modes and rules to keep things fresh and exciting. If you have friends you should be playing this with them!

Three things make for a great local multiplayer game: feel, polish and balance. SSMP has all three. - Feel: the ship has just the right physics - not too floaty, not too fickle. Everything in the game is bouncy and boppy and energetic. It takes almost no time to feel like you're in control. The humor (especially the character names) hits just the right note. The user interface could be used to teach a course on user interface design. You spend zero time figuring out what you're supposed to do to start playing. - Polish: We are living in the age of crapware, so it is awfully danged nice to play a game that involved a lot of effort and thoughtful attention to every detail. The stats are useful and fun, the music is themed to each character, the look is simple with a great, coherent aesthetic. - Balance: there's just the right mix of skill, surprise and own-goals in each of the modes. For every fail-safe tactic you come up with, there's a way to thwart it. Custom mode lets you mix up the elements in a way that allows you to maximally annoy your fellow players. In short, if you enjoy sitting around with other people on a couch and virtually shooting them on a nearby screen, this game is highly recommended. Super fun local multiplayer game! Super easy to pick up and learn how to play. The different game modes are all really interesting and force you to switch up your tactics - switching between the game modes each round keeps things really exciting and fun. When playing with a group, we were PUMPED every time we unlocked a new mode/rule. Highly recommended for fun times with your pals!

I first played SSMP at PAX-East a year ago, and I loved it then. This game is the perfect combination of unpredictability, interdependence, and sudden turnaround that you want in a party game. While I never get tired of winning, it's impossible to dominate, and that's what I really want out of a game like this. It's simple, it's smart, and it's very forgiving to the non-gamer who wants to participate.

A fun, casual multiplayer game. Great for families or parties. Even my youngest kids enjoy playing with the rest of us. Also, the developer was super cool and responsive when we came across a late-game crash bug. This game's totally worth the price if you enjoy low-key local MP games.
