About

Decades of rule by the rich have left the world on the brink of collapse. With oppression and corruption running rampant, the people have finally had enough. The Stagers lead the revolution to bring The System down and will stop at nothing to bring justice to this world, facing the most elite agents mustered by the wealthy to defend their ill-gotten gains. Who will you fight for?
Shoot on Sight is a near-future isometric tactical shooter for competitive PVP, cooperative PVE, and solo play, where good tactics matter far more than a big gun. Fight for the future of society on dynamic maps, outsmart your opponents, and remember: Shoot on sight!

The System controls the world, lording over unchecked corruption, extreme inequality, and brutal oppression. Against its elite agents stand the Stagers, rebels fighting for a just world for everyone.
Fight the rebels as an elite police agent - or stoke the fires of rebellion as one of twelve distinct characters with unique abilities, unlocks, and backstories to discover.
Customize your loadout to fit your playstyle. Bring overwhelming firepower to suppress the enemy. Wade into their ranks with a sledgehammer. Nail them with a well-placed shot through the door just as they're about to breach. The only limit is your imagination.
Walls can be destroyed, windows and doors breached, and almost every object on the map used creatively to gain an edge over your opponent. Wounds leave blood trails, allowing you to stalk your foes - or draw the enemy into a trap, just as they think you are on your last legs.
Whether you play on your own, face other players or fight alongside them in 4-player multiplayer modes, you're never alone. As the war for the future of society rages on, you'll be surrounded by computer-controlled friends and foes, keeping you on your toes.
Whether you win or lose, every match brings you closer to unlocking new weapons, gadgets, attachments, character abilities, and reveals more about the epic conflict at the heart of Shoot on Sight.
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There are no available servers and no player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
This poorly made 3D rendered 2D top down twin stick PvP "heist" shooter had a rather janky bit of assembly, and the old dead top down genre didn't help to appeal to players either, which presumably is why most gamers left this in the dust and walked right on by. Also, the misleading "free" nature of the game never helps. You're expected to pay not insignificant amounts of money to unlock content in this train wreck of a bad idea implemented badly. So, Shoot on Sight is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result. Let's go into some of the reasons this particular game failed to appeal to gamers, despite the zero up front cost. First and foremost, there's no meaningful single player content. The developer gambled that other players would be an acceptable substitute for adding storytelling, level design etc to the game. They lost that bet. Without a huge community of players or single player content to add a lasting value to the game, the game dies. Developers must learn that other players are not an acceptable substitute for adding content to a game. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging $15 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even after that, this still isn't really free as you're expected to pay up more money to unlock content/DLC so you can keep playing. This is some nasty, predatory pricing and PC gamers don't like it. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

Great concept, deserves more love. Big up the Swede's!

Controls are very odd, rotating the camera is awkward, the aim distance is absurd. Keybinds can be configured so there's that. Could not find an MP match, not sure why we vote on a map before even searching for a lobby. Doubt many of the reviews are genuine because this game is certainly not exciting. Boring snoozefest. I already tell MP would be a mess with spawn-camping across map. I don't recommend but I selected recommend to show support for indie devs and because opinions are like... you know the rest.
Possibly one of the most confusing shooters Ive ever played. The controls are wonky. You can literally have someone standing in front of you and you dont know it until you are dead. Id like to offer a suggestion as someone who really didnt know what to expect when downloading the game. There should be an option to lock the camera behind your character or make it so controls are locked.. There should be a vision cone indicator for character perspective..
Love it or hate it, this game has a lot of potential, but what confuses me is why the servers are down five months after release. There's no single-player content, but you can at least battle the bots. I don't know if they made this as a project for their resumes, but this game feels like it was abandoned mid-development.
an excellent demonstration of how to not design matchmaking. player is forced to choose 5 different pools all of which are different combinations of maps and modes. all players should be put into the same pool which features all of the modes. or at the very least the mode dictates the pool. those are just the pvp modes also. theres matchmaking for pve as well which I didn't even click on. it's possible that has its own 5 pool sub category. the "quick" "perfect" bot match was unnecessary and the opposite of quick. points for locational damage which makes a player limp if shot in the leg, also crouch and lean in a top down shooter, interesting. good fog of war system and destructible environments like walls. matchmaking needs a complete overhaul before i'm gonna mindlessly sit in a queue with no information regarding if any other player on earth is also in the same queue or if i'm just alone wasting my time. matchmaking at its finest
Do not play against bots.
