Shmup Love Boom

So, this game is a space shooter with VN elements. It's also ♥♥♥♥, let me say that right away. The gameplay is total arse, your ship moves like a paraplegic with a broken wheelchair and your weapons are about as powerful as a wet cough. The choosable waifu sub weapons don't really help much either The selling point of the game, the story, is badly written, with spelling mistakes and poor grammar in it. There are no sound effects, just the background music which isn't bad, but when it's all you hear, it really does get annoying. The other thing that this game does is the lives system. When you die, your chosen waifu loses a bit of clothing, nothing too risque, they just end up in their underwear by the last life. Sadly, even this was ultimately disappointing and could not redeem the game. Overall, I would give this a 2/10, playable but not for long.

There are a lot of games in the genre, and this is one of them, I guess. Selecting an R2-waifu does not appeal to me.

Got it as a gift... 10/10 -IGN "best game, to much animoo"

Just bad. My main issue is the controls. It is so slow to move. If you plan on buying make sure it is less than 1 usd even then I would say there are better to spend that 1 on.

A very budget cosmic shmup with some story and anime girls. Also, one of the first game published by Dharker Studios. First, you are greeted by a filler story done in the visual novel style and a choice of an accompanying girl/auxiliary weapon. The game can be only played in a small window mode so everything looks a bit too small for my taste. That is the first issue. Second is the controls; all steering and shooting is done with a mouse. It is very sluggish and imprecise, which is this case is a huge problem. Shmups require a lot of precision and here you have little to none. That, combined with an unforgiving difficulty and lack of typical upgrades or choice of difficulty makes this title a very frustrating experience. You can see on one of the trailers a 'Hangar' option which is non existent in the game. I have a strong suspicion this game was not finished and simply abandoned before truly ready. Graphics, aside being too small, are pretty simple and clean. For the price asked it has decent amount of details. Bosses and enemies design are ok. Special effects are fine too but nowhere near as pretty as Tohou games, still could be much worse for this price. Music is different on every stage and I have to admit I enjoyed most of it. Mix of electronic and rock works well here. One of the better features of this title. No bugs encountered. To summarise, a low budget, space themed bullet hell game with frustrating 'mouse only' controls and unforgivable difficulty. Beside basic weapon upgrades there is little to no skill progression and only two side weapons of choice. Not recommended unless you like fighting with controls more than avoiding countless bullets. 3/10

Do not buy this garbage.

The ship is sluggish and floaty. The controls aren't super great either. I'm kinda sad about it because I like the art and controlling it with the mouse sounds like an interesting way to do it but I couldn't bring myself to play much. I know that the cheap price makes it seem like a good deal but please don't get it. There are many better shoot 'em ups.
