The item passed around the pawn shop turns out to be a Time Capsule, a drug that will send you to the present day...! This is a story about the youth of the shinobi and kunoichi who are after it, and the samurai who help them! It's a slightly unusual visual novel adventure!

Reviews
Shinobi Samurai is a short, silly, and sweet visual novel about a pill that bestows the ability to time travel. The game has a light and airy presentation: I particularly appreciate its font and color palate. The art has a hand-drawn watercolor marker aesthetic that I really like! The music has a fitting samurai vibe, is upbeat and fun, and is excellent throughout. I have found three endings. When prompted to do so, the player chooses which character to “side with.” Depending on which characters one chooses, and in what order, the story can unfold in different ways. No ending is terrible! But some may prefer one over the others. Shinobi Samurai is not very long. One can play to the end in about a quarter of an hour. Personally, that’s exactly what I expected—but please be aware of that. As I mentioned, Mizublue’s VN engine is configured to my liking; however, there are no customization options if it doesn’t suit you. (I thought it might've been cool if there was an option to hear the Japanese dialogue while playing the English version.) All in all, I enjoyed Shinobi Samurai and hope to see more Mizublue games on steam!🙂
