Step into the monochromatic and mind-bending universe of the Shift series developed by Antony Lavelle, where black and white landscapes hide more than meets the eye. This collection unites the original four titles - Shift, Shift 2, Shift 3, and Shift 4.

I remember being a young at a point in my life, and flash games like Shift were one of the rare finds you'd get lost inside of. This collection is pretty much everything I'd want in reliving my days of being young, when I didn't have to pay bills or taxes. While I still have to pay those now, the memories of playing through this puzzle crawler are simply fantastic. You'll jump, fall to your death, and figure out how the heck do you get something, and the sense of satisfaction you get when you solve it is amazing. Overall this was a game I played a lot back in the day, and so I'm heading into it with a lot of nostalgia. So to finally be able to play an updated version, and on PC is like visiting your old friend all over again knowing you'll have a great time.
The Shift Legacy Collection is a good collection of puzzle platformer levels, the difficulty quickly scale up in applying the mechanics, it is awesome to figure out the solutions to each level. Getting all the achievements on this took me just around five hours and I really took my time playing it, each game is very short but pretty fulfilling, it has aged fairly well for a game made almost twenty years ago. Definitely give this a try if you like puzzle platformer games!
Very glad to have this series on steam now, and for $5 it's a steal. Super excited to play through all these games again
The shift series was always very fun for me back in the early 2010s, and this legacy collection brings back so much nostalgia from those times! The only problem I have with this collection is that Shift 4's true ending is broken, as there is a lot of random lag, and the ending song doesn't play for some reason. Otherwise though, this was a blast, and I also recommend playing this puzzle game no matter what! (Also, the achievements in this game are really easy and take no real skill to get, so 100%ing this is easy!) :)
Great game, many fond memories. Glad to have it here. Thanks so much for the fun in those boring, childhood nights!
the Shift games were some of my favorite Flash games growing up and it's nice to have them all in one place. they're very much a time capsule of that era of the internet but are still stylish and pretty clever today. i wish this collection did more to remaster them, though--it's cool that they're basically untouched but the overall package feels a bit rough around the edges
A Classic! An amazing flash game that was on many sites like Newgrounds, Kongregate, and of course Armor Games. It's got all four games plus players pack, the only game missing is Shift: Freedom but other than that a really great collection. With better music quality full screen and everything I recommend getting this game. Its like Portal only that you're Shifting into black and white. And the story is something, mostly on Shift 3 and 4.
I don't normally write reviews, but I had to for this excellent collection of classic Flash titles. It's a blast from the past that perfectly captured the Portal vibe back when Portal was still new. I was a broke college student who couldn't afford games, and the Shift series provided hours of free entertainment in my web browser. Thank you so much to the developers for making these games available, both originally and now as a collection. Some of those achievements are just as challenging now as they were back then! This collection works great for both PC and Steam Deck, so you'll be able to enjoy it anywhere you choose to play. However, some of the core puns aren't going to make as much sense unless you play it on a keyboard like you were meant to originally (e.g. you Shift with the shift key). Just keep your keyboard in mind if you're playing on Deck or with a controller and you'll get all the jokes.

After the slick and beautiful Shift Quantum, I was hoping to see the original Shift games come to Steam...and here they are, complete with all the various expansion packs. The 'shift' mechanic might be basic but the levels are well designed, the control is precise, and the game doesn't outstay its welcome.
