Sherlock se tomu pokusí přijít na kloub. A ještě ke všemu se v Londýně rozjela záhadná série loupeží šperků. V tomto případu je 39 aktivních lokací (neodečítám duplicity) s videem. Případ lze dohrát s minimem 55 bodů. Když proklikáte všechny lokace, tak máte přes 3000 bodů. :)

It's a deceptively simple Sherlock Holmes Visual Novel (FMV Style Game) with interactions where you send Scotland Yard and/or the Irregular Ones to go and find you information, then you present your case to the Judge but if you don't have ALL of the information the Case doesn't go ahead, and whilst that's a handy barometer to showcase whether or not you're on the right track it would be better if the game had a "bad end" where if you didn't find all the info the villain got away but I appreciate that wouldn't be in-keeping with The Master Detective

Like its counterparts, it offers an engaging detective story that can still hold your attention today if you enjoy piecing together clues and solving mysteries. Story and Setting This time, you’re diving into a tale involving a murder with more questions than answers. A woman has been accused of a crime, but things don’t add up. As Sherlock Holmes, it’s your job to uncover the truth by gathering clues, questioning witnesses, and putting the puzzle together. The Victorian-era setting feels just as rich as in the other cases, with its grimy streets, elegant drawing rooms, and shady alleys brought to life through FMV sequences. Gameplay The gameplay is classic to the series. You have access to a map of London, lists of suspects and contacts, and a series of locations to visit. Each visit unlocks video scenes that may give you direct leads or subtle hints. The game doesn’t give you answers outright; you’ll need to pay close attention to every bit of dialogue and think critically to figure out what’s important. Tips for gameplay: Read the newspapers: Each one is packed with information that can connect dots you might not notice at first. Don’t rush: The case isn’t just about solving it but solving it efficiently. However, checking every lead is better than missing something crucial. Cross-reference clues: Sometimes the hints you need are buried in seemingly unrelated conversations or locations. Graphics and Sound The FMV quality is, unsurprisingly, dated, but it’s a nostalgic charm rather than a drawback if you’re into retro games. The acting leans into the theatrical, but it fits the Holmes vibe. The sound effects and atmospheric music enhance the detective experience without overpowering the story. What Makes It Playable Today Despite being an older game, The Case of the Mystified Murderess relies on logic and attention to detail, making it just as enjoyable now as it was at release. If you’re patient and enjoy unraveling mysteries, this game still feels rewarding. Verdict This case is another win for the Consulting Detective series. The story has enough twists to keep you guessing, and solving it feels genuinely satisfying. It’s perfect for fans of old-school detective games or anyone who loves Sherlock Holmes. A solid mix of engaging storytelling and intellectual challenge that’s worth revisiting—or discovering for the first time!

Une très bonne adaptation du jeu de société Sherlock Holmes Détective Conseil, si vous avez aimé le jeu alors vous prendrez plaisir à explorer de nouveau cette aventure dans le médium du jeu vidéo cette fois. La direction d'acteur kitsch ajoute un petit côté humoristique au jeu. Je le recommande uniquement au fan de Sherlock Holmes et des jeux FMV.

Again - remember this is a 6 year old game, utilises videos and text instead of animation, and covers a single case! Now that's out of the way... it's short, but not bad for a single session of gaming. If you enjoy the board game (221B Baker Street, etc) or the interactive movie version of Clue, then you'll enjoy this one. It's a lot of reading, picking out the relevant names and following up only on those. As it's 'demerit point' based, you want to have as low a score as possible - so visiting the wine dealer is really unnecessary (yes, I went to the wine dealer!). Is it as good as the other SH games? No - I liked animations and various dialogue options. But that's not to say that it's not worth playing in its own right, as long as you think of it as a board game with videos (which are coming back in vogue, I hear...)

Overall enjoyable game. The game clues and facts were laid out well for the player.

this had a better story then the case of the mummy's curse and felt a little longer but still very short

Great for anyone who enjoys really getting into a mystery and solving it without much hand-holding.
