Shattered Throne

game seems very fun and inspired by old games like advance wars :) recommned for fans of those kind of strategy like games. even has an asyncronous multiplayer option which is cool and would be nice to see it getting more love :)

there is no difficulty set up

ok so i went in without any knowledge and damn it lived way more than my expectations....... this is a damn good game

2 hours in, and I am loving this game. If you are like me and love classics like Warsong/Langrisser, Fire Emblem series, and also perhaps Wesnoth, then this one is for you! Development is ongoing, with a strong focus on customer feedback. Well done!!

This game is a godsend. I've played on another account before and decided to buy it again. The perfect mix between Advance Wars and Fire Emblem. Makes me feel like Wargroove got its idea from this lol. But in all seriousness, this is a fantastic Turn based strategy game.

This is another hidden gem in Steam that you should try. Especially if you like estrategy games like FIre Emblem or Advance Wars. I don't usually do reviews, but this game really deserves more fanbase. As a fan of Fire Emblem games I tried Shattered Throne first a bit put off by the graphics but oh boy, I expected copper and found gold. This is a game deeply fun, with solid mechanics and gameplay. The campaign is long with three awesome factions to play which will take you about 20 hours, so for the price I can tell you its worth it. It has multiplayer too, but I didn't try it yet. Just to tell you how much I enjoy the game, I keep coming back, just to enjoy the campaign again.

Absolutely yes!!! A beautiful "fantasy" Advance Wars! Recommended!

I would really really like to recommend Shattered Throne. I loved it from the start. The buildings, the units, the art, the tactics. It's like a more simplistic but still fun version of Age of Wonders. But then i got to mission 13 and i hit a brick wall. I must be doing something wrong but i just can't get past it. The enemy has more buildings and long-ranged trebuchets. You have to cross the water. The goal is to destroy two banners. The enemy can heal them. I just don't get it. I only had to replay one mission before this one and i thought a couple missions were too easy. Thing is, when you get stuck in a game all the little things that are bugging you become annoying. The clumsy UI. The JRPG-style animation when casting a spell. The bothersome transporting units in ships part. The fact that ranged units don't show their range when you move them. It's a shame. I don't mind a challenge but i expect the "normal" difficulty to be do-able by someone like me. So, this is a great game, but you might get stuck after 6-7 hours. You have to decide if it's worth the risk.

Несправедливо обделенная вниманием игра. Я бы описал её как Advance Wars в фентезийном сеттинге на стероидах. Три фракции с уникальными наборами существ со своими уникальными умениями, а не просто рескинами. Мало того, юнитов еще можно прокачивать и после повышения у них не просто увеличиваются хп и статы, но и добавляются новые умения, порой тоже уникальные. Стратегическая составляющая напоминает таковую в WarCraft 3, где играя против разных рас, используются разные тактики и разные юниты, можно рашить феями, а можно играть в хит'н'ран лучниками на оленях с ядом. Рекомендую, к тому же стоит игра совсем недорого.
