- As a medical student in isolation, i see this as a way to learn the anatomy of the organs clearly. when compared to irl, there are definitely some plus and minuses. the plus being this software shows it very clearly, and the minus being not able to see and touch it. - At the time of writing this review, the organs are definitely not complete (at least for the non pro version) and would like to see more updates to this. - Another feature that may seem nice is to be able to measure the average size of an organ and maybe even see more cross sections with a slider to slowly cut open the organ, and maybe even show histological features of the tissues present in the organ.
Sharecare YOU is a very interesting digital encyclopedia which includes lots of information & explanations regarding all the organs & systems in the human body in their healthy and unhealthy conditions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b43QaX8uqkI

I love this learning tool. It's not a game though I have spent a few hours reviewing and learning it. Money well spent. Pictures say a thousand words and I have to say this is the beginning of a one sided conversation. I was able to really point out to how a certain family member died of a stroke and why the situation was precarious for doctors to operate. Showing the graphics gave them the sense of complexity and danger. Kids learned ear drums and made it easy to explain drainage. Being able to rotate, zoom, bisect, internal views, and break out by system is spectacular. Many subtle controls. There are also some diseases listed with slide rulers to show severity like COPD in the lungs... very powerful graphic. There is plenty of expansion with content such as more organs, labels, info, organ consistency, diseases, etc... It seems the developer is interested in expanding content so looking forward to what's next! Cheers
Really amazing graphics and a comprehensive way to explore the human body. It's not a game but it is a really fun way to learn. Highly recommend the paid version to anyone who has an interest in anatomy or physiology.
Great visuals, however you could get the same in current textbooks, however no updates since December of 2021. According to the store page the developers said "We’re not stopping here! We’re hard at work adding to YOU’s vast library of organs, systems, scenes, and abilities, with more to come in 2022." Considering the price tag of 34.95 for the basic version and the hefty price for the pro version added on to the fact that we are over half way through 2022, there have been no updates and the developers still maintain silence. Have they abandoned the project? There's not enough content for the price. Until I see worthy major updates I cant recommend this to anyone.
Although the software provides decent anatomical knowledge and detail to the models and simulations, there is nothing here that will provide you with more knowledge than what an anatomy textbook could. The software is lackluster in the number of systems and models you can view and learn about. 2 years later since release and there is still only one disease you can view (influenza). I was impressed by its detail to cancer. I especially liked seeing in real time how asthma and COPD can affect the lungs but there just isn't too much else. I would recommend this to those currently in High School/Secondary School, however for Degree Level knowledge I would expect more. This software will provide you with as much knowledge about anatomy as what surgeon simulator will teach you about surgery. If you are looking for a really good anatomy software - go for Anatomy Atlas, its a programme you can get on your phone or desktop so its portable, its dissection tools are very developed and has detailed information of any point on the human body. Sadly this does not include how diseases interact and other conditions, however if you are looking for something that can help your Bio-Medical career I would recommend the Anatomy Atlas (or an anatomy atlas book) over this software.
Fascinating piece of software with extremely detailed models of human anatomy. Perfect not only for medical students and teachers but for everyone curious.
Is not what I expected. But overall. It's a good software to learn organ anatomy. It does not specify anywhere you have to get Sharecare YOU Pro to have fully access.
After purchasing the game already it required you to purchase the Sharecare You pro to use the tools and snapshot
