Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 1 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

game is very buggy and glitchy. the ui is terrible. not worth the price it's asking at all. as the current state it's in it's not worth it. caliber or ghost recon phantom back then was free to play so i'm not sure why this underdeveloped game is pay to play. the game is not ready. already refunded and maybe will check it out again when it's more polish but so far the gameplay isn't that good.
Lets Play Again - Like 2015
It’s a very interesting game, constantly evolving, backed by an enthusiastic team. The gameplay mechanics are very good and don’t require high resources. It closely resembles Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Phantoms. I confidently recommend it!

if you were a fan of Ghost Recon Phantoms, this game is it. Damn near copy and paste. The classes, the weapons for each class, the "powers" each of them use, the everything. The community is still very small so matchmaking can take a long ass time but I urge people to buy this game and revive our once fallen comminuty.
Shadow of Soldiers attempts to provide a very close feeling of Ghost Recon Online (GRO) back then, which it also succeed at. In general it is the closest game I played to GRO and it brought a lot of memories back. If you liked the weapon feeling, cover mechanics etc. of GRO, you will find and may enjoy them in SoS. While a few devices are inspired by GRO abilities, there are also unique ones. E.g. the device “Fury” of juggernaut is very close to assaults “Blitz”. An example for a device not existing in GRO would be Bane (a gas nade launched from distance and resulting into a gas cloud which block a way/kill enemies). Also the developers try to listen to their community and answer questions on Discord. So if you have any question you could check it out.
Things to keep in mind:
However, SoS is only developed by 1 to 2 developers, which were also fans of GRO/GRP (which is not a surprise after all), without the funds of a large publisher. As a result the marketing and developing speed is not comparable to e.g. GRO back then. Despite their limitations they are trying their best to fix bugs and improve the overall game experience (e.g. right now matchmaking) even further.
Community:
As the marketing is limited, the player-base is quite small. In fact I was always able to find games between 9pm UTC+2 and 11pm UTC+2, but sometimes (and also depending on the weekday and the time of the year) you can find games earlier/for a longer time. Despite that you can try to find people to play with on Discord server. It’s noteworthy that you will play mostly with/against the same players, whereby you will also find regularly new ones. Most of the "core" players are friendly and answer questions in-game (if you have any).
Summary:
I can recommend SoS to everyone who liked GRO and is aware that SoS isn’t developed nor funded by a large company (with all it’s advantages and disadvantages).
Las partidas se sienten como el GRP original. Me encanta!!!
Very good recreation of GRPhantoms! Note for people on the fence, this game is very much a passion project where everything is still WIP and not a tripple A. Temper expectations For devs: the original game was great in our nostalgia brains, but it was not perfect. do not get tied down recreating what does not work. I will keep playing this as long as im enjoying myself!
Needs work with ui and responsiveness but has potential! Happy to support.
