Serious Sam 3 VR: BFE is a virtual reality action shooter, a glorious throwback to the golden age of first-person shooters where men were men, cover was for amateurs and pulling the trigger made things go boom.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 14 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

An excellent 3D shooter for relaxing and battling hordes of monsters. Unusual monsters and maps.
Serious Sam 3 VR: BFE is an unapologetically intense virtual reality shooter that brings the bombastic spirit of classic arcade FPS design into an immersive, physical space. Developed by Croteam VR and published by Devolver Digital alongside Croteam Publishing, this VR adaptation faithfully recreates the entirety of Serious Sam 3: BFE while enhancing its chaos through motion-controlled gunplay and full-scale immersion. Rather than attempting to modernize or reinterpret the formula, the game leans fully into what defines the Serious Sam identity: massive enemy hordes, wide-open arenas, outrageous weapons, and a constant demand for movement and awareness. The campaign places players in the boots of Sam “Serious” Stone during humanity’s last stand against the alien warlord Mental and his endless army of grotesque monsters. Levels range from sun-scorched deserts and ruined cities to ancient temples and underground facilities, all designed to funnel players into large-scale encounters where survival depends on mobility and firepower rather than cover or stealth. In VR, these environments feel imposing and sometimes overwhelming, with enemies charging from multiple directions at once. The sense of scale is heightened dramatically, making familiar encounters feel fresh as towering enemies loom overhead and swarms rush directly toward your physical space. Combat is where the VR conversion truly shines. Using motion controllers to aim, fire, and reload creates a visceral connection to the game’s extensive arsenal, which includes pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, rocket launchers, and a host of exaggerated sci-fi weapons. Dual-wielding becomes especially satisfying, allowing players to unleash chaos with both hands while physically turning and repositioning to track incoming threats. The game’s pace demands constant movement, and the physical act of dodging, spinning, and aiming amplifies the adrenaline in a way that traditional flat-screen play cannot replicate. Movement and comfort options are handled with notable flexibility, offering smooth locomotion, teleportation, snap turning, and other VR comfort settings to accommodate a wide range of players. This adaptability helps make the game accessible even to those sensitive to motion sickness, though the sheer speed and density of combat can still be intense for newcomers to VR. The integration with Serious Sam Fusion also allows VR players to interact with the broader Serious Sam ecosystem, including multiplayer sessions and community-created content, extending the game’s lifespan well beyond the single-player campaign. Multiplayer remains a core strength of the experience, with cooperative modes that allow players to face enemy waves together, as well as competitive options that emphasize pure arcade chaos. Co-op sessions in VR are particularly memorable, turning already frantic battles into shared spectacles of explosions and coordinated mayhem. The inclusion of different co-op rule sets adds variety, and Steam Workshop support further enhances replayability by enabling access to custom levels and modifications created by the community. Despite its strengths, Serious Sam 3 VR: BFE does show its age in certain areas. Level design inherited from the original release can sometimes feel uneven in VR, with lengthy corridors or enclosed spaces that break the flow between large-scale encounters. The narrative remains minimal and largely secondary to the action, which may leave players seeking story-driven VR experiences unsatisfied. Additionally, the relentless pace and visual intensity can be physically demanding, making extended sessions tiring even for seasoned VR players. Ultimately, Serious Sam 3 VR: BFE succeeds by fully committing to spectacle and excess, delivering a VR shooter that prioritizes raw excitement over refinement. It doesn’t try to be subtle, cinematic, or contemplative; instead, it offers a nonstop barrage of enemies, explosions, and gunfire that feels perfectly suited to virtual reality’s strengths. For fans of classic FPS design and VR enthusiasts craving fast, unfiltered action, it stands as one of the more exhilarating and memorable VR shooter experiences available on Steam. Rating: 8/10
This is a solid VR shooter that keeps you on your toes. The obvious tradeoff for VR is the last gen level of graphics, if you can get past those, this game is a decent time waster.
They all work great on VR, performance and gameplay wise.
where has this game been all my life one of the most fun games I've played in vr in 2025 highly recommended
