30 bucks is a steep price for an early access game, but at least its going to be f2p out of early access i guess this is a rough day one though - queues dont work and there are some maps that dont even look finished other than that the gameplay loop is kinda interesting, its like a mix of smite and overwatch i guess. dont forget to buy items in the shop i uh, may recommend waiting a bit before picking this game up. the current state of the early access launch is closer to an alpha if anything. legit just played in a map that was filled with placeholder blocks. insane
Shot yourself in the foot with this Early Access release. As things stand this game is a massive gamble, and I think all of us have been burned by early access gambles in the past. I refunded simply because I don't see how they can turn this around aside from getting rid of the price tag entirely. Why is it a gamble? Aside from the pretty well D.O.D early access release.. The game doesn't do anything particularly well in a genre with big name competition. I think a lot of people who gave this game a chance and were willing to spend money for early access were expecting at least the core game play elements to be fully fleshed out. You could take all the time in the world to add characters, maps, game modes, etc. But the game should have at least aimed to impress people mechanically... or.. at all.. Instead.. It feels like the budget was blown on pretty characters, who now run around in a janky low res hellscape, with nerf gun physics and questionable design choices. In its current state the game is not fun or enjoyable. Some of the characters feel bland and soulless. The melee classes just look like bullet sponges with no purpose - lacking the big engages and hard CC that have made them viable in this genre before. You also have to wonder why they would push a free to play game into early access with a price tag. Why would I pay to test your alpha build when 1.0 will be free? Does this make financial sense to anyone? Kinda seems like someone ran out of money and I wont be on the hook for another game that never comes out of early access. Also.. The skill bar with all your important cool downs is in the VERY BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER. I'd be firing people if this was my project, starting with the UI/UX guy he is awful.

Even with the negative reviews, I found the game very interesting, the combat is fast and fun and the characters are very unique, of course there is a lot to polish and fix, but it's still an early access game so it's okay. really hope to have a south america server in the near future... Overall, Keep up the good work CGC.
Wonderful game! It's an early access title and there's a lot of negatives reviews coming from the fact hundreds of players are filling the servers and matchmaking has some issues. Outside of that the game play loop is amazing, it's worth the money all the way. Challengers is the most transparent company I've ever seen and staff members are up helping users at release!
Gameplay is good 10/10 Dev is good 100/10 Server not good bad/10 Game bug so much :( /10 Model is good but bone is not... Ragdoll physics moment/10 Waifu booba 100/10 I like anime waifu and I like anime style game that have ragdoll physics so I'm bias as much as possible but the game need more time to polish and develop. Hope this game have more ppl because right now it too low and it need more support.
Currently the biggest problem, and it's really severe.. Moving causes the world to jitter, and it's not just me or my setup, and yes I've played with settings of course. Most players don't seem to have the consciousness to notice the jitter and they live with it in a strange state of pretending they are playing a functioning video game. I'm refunding since the problem goes unacknowledged, it will likely never be resolved. Weird state to sell a game in. Money doesn't matter more than a quality experience, and it never will.
All my 3 hours of playtime is from waiting queue... Idk why devs expect us to pay 26 dollars for a smite like game... saw a post on their discord: "Unfortunately, as a very small studio with extremely limited resources, we have to do what is right for our team and our players. " And something like.. "we need to pay servers and stuff" Wouldnt it be better to make the game free to play and have a cash shop with skins and stuff... Idk what the marketing team is thinking... Such a shame the game looks interesting. 8 Hours in: Still didnt play a single round.
I loved this game with all of my little heart, the characters were unique, the community was kind and encouraging. I saw much potential in the future of SW, it is unfortunate that it will come to an end. While there were many bugs and issues; I enjoyed what I got out of it, even if it was a short lived time. I love you second wave, good luck to all the dev's in their future; you will be missed.
This game has potential. It looks good, the heroes are great but I absolutely cannot recommend the game at this time. First of all, I think £22.50 (10% discount) is asking way too much for the current state of the game. There is simply not enough content to warrant that price, let alone the full price. If you want to switch region for whatever reason, you're also essentially restarting/splitting your progress. This also splits the player base a lot more dramatically than similar games like Paladins where you just change region in game. This means any cosmetics, currency etc is locked to their specific purchase region. This is such an outdated way of doing things (and has been part of the downfall for similar games that didn't quite take off). The game only averages 63 players at the moment and struggles to hit a 100 player peak, a week into this soft launch. Being generous that this would be an average of 20 players per region, you'll struggle to find a match at the moment. The player count has actually significantly dropped already, probably due to the dodgy server (I'll come back to that in a bit). There is a good variety of heroes and classes in the game, obviously balancing at this early stage is a mess. Some characters are just wiping the floor with an entire team, while some struggle to confirm kills. These things can be fixed, the basis is there for excellence. I mostly played the support heroes and loved them, I appreciate that "support" in this game is equating to heal botting. In the time that I played only one mode and one map was available, but it was very good. A standard point capture/domination mode. No point changing the wheel. The map was lovely, in fact the art style/direction in general is absolutely gorgeous and very well done. The servers are a hot mess. About halfway through a match 9 times out of 10, you will start to rubber band and you will see players on both teams teleport around the map. Abilities and attacks will takes minutes to go off once activated and you'll find yourself randomly back at spawn having died with no idea why. This is the case on ALL regional servers, they keep saying they have fixed the servers, this is a lie. Save your money, wait til the game is free. However, with the way things are going I unfortunately don't see the game making full release.
