Too simple. Only three stats to worry about, money, environment and people. Some of the outcomes are very unrealistic.

"Seaburn" is a glorified web browser game, a set of static screens and menus where you can read some text about being in charge of a country... it's 2025, seriously, video games have evolved beyond this stuff. For gameplay purposes, because the user interface for this game is mostly just 2D static text/images... it might as well be a web page. It's functionally no different from a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. If the game can be done in a web browser, it's just not rich or compelling enough to appeal to serious gamers on PC. Ok, there's a little low poly 3D office scene, but this adds nothing to the awful experience. Bonus points for no audio control... you'll have to unplug your headphones or go mute the game in the sound mixer to shut it up. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D games. Even mobile phones and game consoles can do 3D graphics now. There's no excuse. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Given that this free title won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library? This is a hard pass. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time.

Seaburn is a glimpse into the life of a politician fighting for a re-election as well as dealing with environmental issues and social issues and i have really enjoyed playing this game because of its challenging decisions that decide the outcome of and i quote "THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PLANET" - Harrison James Board 8:15pm 12/10/2024
This game has a few unfinished features but all round is a good game, would be nice to see more things you can do in the game rather than going back and forth answering legislations. Also PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add easter eggs into your game. AND FOR THE 100TH ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ TIME, PLEASE CHANGE THE GOOFY IMAGE OF AUCKLAND CITY TO A CITY THAT FITS THE TEXTURES OF THE GAME, IT LOOKS SO WEIRD... Good Game Tho :D Bye now.
great game just got a lot of waiting to do. just waiting for TreeBurn.
