Scarlet Defiance: The Wall Between Us

It's such a lovely setup that peters out a little toward the end, feels a bit like they ran out of funds and had to cobble together a sort of ending midway through... But it was still lovely, and i enjoyed my time, now i just really need a full release.

For a short game which is essentially a prologue ending on a cliffhanger, i'd say the price cold be more reasonable... But aside from that, I really enjoyed this visual novel. I thought the characters and story were well written, and the world building eluded to a much richer world waiting to be explored (hopefully in the follow up game!). Nice art and animations. Would recommend picking up on sale.

First impressions are no. The premise sounds fun, but it reads like the most stereotypical YA novel ever, and with voice acting to match. I might drip feed myself this over the coming months to see if my opinions change, but I don't really want to subject myself to this writing atm. IT'S SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GOOD BUT THAT'S IT?????

This game is kinda... strange i guess ? . At first the game captures you with beautiful art style , gorgeous CGs and even full leng animated Opening ! And the art is really great , visuals here are so good , music as well , but the story is..... let me explain: Plot here is super good ,i red a LN(light novel)((Vampire eldes miss thinks i like her is the name of it)) with kinda same storyline and i expected that there will be something like that but the story here feels rushed , not explaining much , and even with it still UNFINISHED and nobody is telling about it anywhere, [spoiler] I dont really understand why people patry general want to start another war with vampires , its kinda seem unmotivated even for evil communist like him [/spoiler] , i will still recommend it just with hope that devs someday will finish it . but for me it was a bit disappointing tbh . Also i want someone or even developer himsef put the CGs into wallpaper engine i really want them to be as my PC wallpapers they are insane beauty .

this was going to be a positive review until I hit the "ending". take that for what you will. I was enjoying the writing and the characters and it was all going pretty well, right up until the "ending" killed all that momentum for me. 7/10 up until the "ending", which honestly turned this whole review into a negative, so take that as you will, I can't really give my honest full critique without spoiling the ending, so if my backhanded sarcastic tone of talking about hasn't ruined you're desire of wanting to try it blind for yourself, I don't recommend it, but have at ya, and you can get my full thoughts in the spoiler part spoilers: [spoiler] ♥♥♥♥ your cliffhanger ending. wasn't even a 3rd act climax. the worst ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ excuse for the "the story ends whe nthe couple gets together" trope I have *ever* seen and gives all that build up almost no satisfying pay off and completely kills the mood and momentum of the read. if I wanted to experience waiting for a stupid cliff hanger moment, I'd go read manga, not come to a VN I'm expecting to have a whole story.
