About
We're still waiting for Valve to officially verify Scarlet Deer Inn, but we designed the game to work well on it.
ABOUT
Scarlet Deer Inn is an embroidered dark medieval folk tale. While life in a seemingly ordinary village is all about simple chores and idle gossip, sinister secrets hide below.

Beautiful hand-painted backgrounds and traditional animations crafted from physically embroidered frames.
A world filled with colourful characters.
Hidden shortcuts in the dark that make each playthrough easier.
Folk music inspired by the Middle Ages and performed on traditional instruments.
THE STORY
Elise is a mother of two. She is not exactly extraordinary, and there are no heroic epics written about her.
Her circumstances will force her to explore unusual places and face dark, terrifying situations.
THE TEAM
Attu Games is a husband-and-wife team from the Czech Republic. During the development of Scarlet Deer Inn, their duo expanded into a trio with the birth of their baby, bringing a whole new level of chaos to the process.

This game was absolutely gorgeous! The fact that all the characters were embroidery was just so creative and refreshing with all the AI slop that has been going around. The music was fantastic as well and I love that they used traditional instruments. An absolutely fabulous game all around!

Nice aesthetic. The music is nice and the mistery hooks you up. A little short, but fun experience
Absolute Cinema. No Notes.
One sentence review: Scarlet Deer Inn should be viewed as more of an interactive short horror film than a game, and as long as you know that’s what you’re in for, it’s good. I wish I could give a fully positive review of this game, because it has so much to love. The art overall is great, from the unique embroidered visuals to the music. The story is creepy but fun and pulls you in very quickly. Unfortunately, the gameplay itself is really lacking. There’s a lot of fairly tedious running back and forth between the few places to explore, and the game doesn’t challenge you much. Also, the game is quite short. I’m pretty on the fence, but ultimately I recommend it for the artistry and story, despite the fairly significant shortcomings.
Have been following this game through its development over the past few years. Have just started playing it but the art style is amazing and is already well worth the purchase
Beautiful, Artistic, would recommend!
A beautiful little adventure with amazing art direction, music and atmosphere. It portrays its origins very well, including the very realistic characterizations of some NPCs. It's also very nice to see some old folk tales "preserved" in this modern medium in such an approachable manner. The final encounter was also a surprisingly formidable challenge, I likely spent an hour just on that! Thank you Attu, best of luck on your future endeavors.
Just finished it today and I had fun! It's short but sweet, has a great hook, and great moment to moment urgency. The animations and environments are gorgeous, the soundtrack is excellent. The characters are charming. And I didn't experience any bugs! My only small criticism would be it was a little difficult navigating sometimes. Some kind of map would have been a big help. Otherwise, I think it's a great little game and I hope it does well! The developers should be very proud!
It's a pleasant platformer with cozy aesthetics and a not-so-cozy story. The gameplay is fairly intuitive if you're an experienced player, though I have had to go and find where to go next a couple times. Huge Kudos to the husband and wife who created this game! I love the folktale vibe!
