Salmon Man

I am for now just giving my first impression after making it to the (I guess) first checkpoint - the remains of the pirate ship. The presentation of the game including it's menus are super polished and feel great. The paddle movement is lets say interesting so far. My fear is that for me the challenge might be too big - I admit that I play most VR games on easy just to enjoy them. So not sure how far I will make it here. I can already tell you the game is a workout - this is an active movement vr game, so go for it, if that is what you are looking for.

Ce jeux est vraiment marrant et rageant à la fois! Je ne désespère pas d'arriver à le finir! Je recommande pour tout ceux qui aime ce genre de jeux. Il diffère des autres et les environnements sont vraiment sympas. Aussi sympa à jouer qu'à regarder. Have FUN!

Salmon Man a été une excellente surprise. Le jeu propose un concept simple mais terriblement efficace, avec un rythme dynamique et une ambiance décalée qui fonctionne à merveille. Les mécaniques sont intuitives, l’humour est omniprésent, et on se retrouve très vite à enchaîner les parties sans voir le temps passer. J’ai également joué à la version autonome sur Meta, et l’expérience est tout aussi agréable. Le jeu tourne de manière fluide, l’immersion est très bonne, et c’est un vrai plaisir de pouvoir y jouer sans câble ni PC. Cette version renforce encore plus le côté fun et accessible du titre. En bref, Salmon Man est un jeu surprenant, amusant et parfaitement adapté à la VR. Une vraie petite pépite pour ceux qui aiment les expériences originales et rythmées.

Ich wollte nur entspannt ein bisschen in VR paddeln… und plötzlich kämpfe ich als Lachs im Fass gegen einen ganzen Fluss. 🐟🌊 Salmon Man ist ein physikbasiertes VR-Spiel, bei dem ihr euch mit einem Paddel stromaufwärts bewegt – und glaubt mir: Das ist deutlich schwerer, als es aussieht. Jeder kleine Fehler kann euch wieder ein gutes Stück nach unten schicken… aber genau das macht den Reiz aus. 👍 + super originelle Idee 👍 + fühlt sich mega gut an, wenn man Fortschritt macht 👎 – ziemlich schwer ohne Erklärung 👎 – nichts für Leute mit wenig Geduld 👉 Fazit: Chaotisch, frustrierend, aber irgendwie auch richtig motivierend. It's definitely entertaining. Made it past the pirate ship, up the climbing wall, through the dungeon room (screw those ceiling posts), and a few platforms further before hitting a waterfall that took me down to the picnic blanket with the pizza...would love some version of checkpoints for it! I'd love to explore more and experience the challenge with less....consequences. I know that's the point but I don't have the patience to redo all of it sadly. Overall, its fun and I'm sure a speedrunners dream. May come back at some point!

Fun game! Feels pretty rewarding to see yourself accidentally improve mid game lol. Will play more.
