Sales, Science & Spirits

This is a great first game, the collection is good, Norman Jones Sales Extravaganza has some charming writing and competent spritework that suites its aesthetic quite well, the gameplay itself is standard RPG Maker fair- though it reframes the combat as a "Sales Pitch" which is quite a cute feature. The character for Norman is very charming and his expressiveness as a character is the best part of this game easily. The real star of the show is Professor Fripple's Special Invention Show, which by far the best music, spritework, writing and overall presentation of the three games, Id say the heart of the project is absolutely here, allowing you to engage with the most mechanics, puzzles and concepts as well as featuring the longest and most well thought out story. Very cute, very charming could honestly be a full-length rpg on its own, with some improved spritework, more varied tracks and couple more fights, characters and mechanics to interact with Fripple could be something really special. Miodesopsia is the last game both numercially and in my opinion as a game, cerebral in nature but without enough meat or intrigue to really sink your teeth into it, the aimless fleshworlds feel quite uninteresting to explore at the time of this review, I get what the developer was going for but in my opinion it misses the mark both not being long enough or engaging enough for me to really enjoy it. Overall these games are an extremely competent first forray into the rpg space, especially as an all but independent developer. I look forward to seeing future products from this developer in the future as these game leave the groundwork for some really cool concepts and ideas I'd love to see incorporated into one bigger and greater overall project, something to really connect with and sink your teeth into.

I like these games! Miodesopsia is by far my favourite - very heavy on storytelling, and seems to have a deeper meaning in between the lines; though the others are pretty fun as well.. The goofy narratives in the other games were quite entertaining. I will say that the audio is sometimes a bit too loud in some places, and the controls can feel a little sticky - but I enjoyed playing overall!

really COOL and GOOD collection of GAMES

[h1]Fun collection of quirky and fun RPG games[/h1] Honestly, I'm not sure when these games were originally released, but this new collection is a lot of fun. I played the demo and all three games a while back, and this time around I really focused on the Norman Jones' Selling Extravaganza portion and feel that even if you never tried the others (YOU SHOULD THOUGH) this would be well worth the price of the game alone. The humor is good, the battles are actually not bad for the RM2k3 engine, and the aesthetic is great. I honestly enjoyed it, and will have to try the other two games soon. I just wanted to get a review in :P
