We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 27: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Best just to play this on a PS5. Whenever I got past the title screen, the game switches itself off ALL THE TIME!!! Plus both the PlayStation Studios and Sumo Digital intros were glitching. It is NOT Steam Deck verified at all! Refunded!

Best Game ever they need to make more
Sackboy: A Big Adventure, developed by Sumo Digital and published by PlayStation Publishing LLC, represents a charming reinvention of one of Sony’s most beloved mascots. Once the face of the LittleBigPlanet series, Sackboy now steps out of the realm of user-generated content and 2.5D platforming into a fully realized 3D adventure that stands confidently alongside modern platformers. The game retains the tactile charm and handcrafted aesthetic that defined its predecessors, but it shifts its focus entirely toward polished, level-based design and cooperative play. The result is a title that feels like a heartfelt homage to the golden era of platforming, imbued with PlayStation’s trademark whimsy and an impressive attention to visual and mechanical detail. At its core, Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a classic hero’s journey wrapped in yarn. The story begins in Craftworld, a vibrant and imaginative patchwork universe made of fabric, cardboard, and thread. When the mischievous villain Vex appears and begins using his Topsy-Turver machine to drain Craftworld of its creativity, it falls to the brave and endlessly cheerful Sackboy to save the day. The narrative is straightforward and lightly humorous, bolstered by expressive character animations and a delightful sense of innocence. It doesn’t attempt to weave a deep or emotional tale but instead provides a framework for the game’s spectacular level design. Each world you visit bursts with life and creativity, acting more as a playground for experimentation than as a step in a tightly plotted story. The transition from LittleBigPlanet’s 2D plane to a full 3D environment is handled with impressive confidence. Sumo Digital has crafted a world that feels expansive and liberating, allowing players to move freely, explore secrets, and interact with the environment in new ways. Sackboy’s moveset is simple but satisfying—he can jump, roll, slap, spin, and use gadgets like a grappling hook or boomerang-inspired Whirltool. The controls are tight and responsive, maintaining the series’ signature bouncy feel without the imprecision that sometimes plagued earlier entries. The camera work complements the design by guiding the player smoothly through complex environments without ever feeling restrictive. Each level introduces a fresh mechanic or theme, keeping the pace brisk and preventing the experience from feeling repetitive. The heart of Sackboy’s charm lies in its level design. Each stage feels like a meticulously crafted diorama bursting with color, texture, and personality. You might find yourself bouncing off drums in a musical level set to licensed pop tracks, navigating snow-covered mountains filled with mechanical contraptions, or floating through space amid neon lights. Every environment feels distinct, and the creativity on display ensures that the player never feels like they’ve seen it all. Hidden collectibles, such as Dreamer Orbs and costume pieces, encourage exploration and reward curiosity. The difficulty ramps up gracefully, allowing younger or casual players to enjoy the main path while giving completionists plenty of challenges in optional stages and time trials. The variety is staggering—Sackboy’s journey never stays in one rhythm for long, and that sense of continuous reinvention is one of the game’s most admirable qualities. While the campaign can be enjoyed solo, Sackboy: A Big Adventure shines brightest when played cooperatively. Up to four players can join locally or online, working together to navigate puzzles, tackle enemies, and collect items. The cooperative experience isn’t just an afterthought—it’s deeply integrated into the design. Certain levels require coordination, with puzzles that demand synchronized switches, shared movement, or cooperative lifts. Playing with friends introduces a layer of delightful chaos, as the simple act of helping one another often turns into accidental sabotage. Yet even these moments of frustration feel lighthearted, adding to the sense of camaraderie. The ability to dress Sackboy in a wide array of costumes—from scuba gear to superhero outfits—further enhances the joy of multiplayer, making every group session feel uniquely personal and expressive. Visually, Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a treat for the senses. The craftsmanship that defines Craftworld is rendered with exceptional attention to detail; every piece of felt, button, and stitch seems tangible. The texture work is so precise that environments feel like handcrafted miniatures brought to life. Lighting and particle effects enhance the magical atmosphere, while the animation gives Sackboy a personality that radiates warmth and curiosity. The soundtrack complements the visuals beautifully, mixing original orchestral compositions with cleverly adapted pop songs. The way music syncs with gameplay—especially in rhythm-based levels—is one of the game’s highlights, transforming stages into playable musical experiences that are as surprising as they are delightful. The overall presentation evokes a sense of childlike wonder that is hard to resist. The PC version of Sackboy: A Big Adventure brings this whimsical experience to a new audience, but it also comes with a few caveats. While the visuals look stunning in higher resolutions and frame rates, performance issues such as stuttering and shader compilation delays have been reported by many players. Even high-end systems can experience inconsistent frame pacing, particularly when ray tracing is enabled. That said, when optimized, the game runs beautifully, and the art style shines on modern hardware. The port includes customizable controls and robust settings, though it lacks some of the haptic feedback features found in the PlayStation 5 version. Despite these shortcomings, the core experience remains intact—the joyful platforming and vibrant worlds translate seamlessly to PC once performance is stable. Sackboy: A Big Adventure’s greatest strength is its consistency. Every aspect of the game—visual design, level creativity, music, and cooperative play—feels aligned toward delivering pure fun. It doesn’t chase cinematic spectacle or complicated systems but instead focuses on crafting an experience that feels timeless. That said, players looking for innovation or depth beyond platforming fundamentals might find it relatively safe compared to more experimental titles in the genre. Its story is predictable, and while charming, it lacks emotional weight. Additionally, once the campaign is completed, there are few reasons to return beyond collectibles and score chasing. The game’s replay value depends largely on whether you enjoy mastering its stages or playing with friends. Despite its simplicity, Sackboy: A Big Adventure succeeds through sincerity and craftsmanship. It captures the spirit of play that has defined the best platformers over the decades while injecting it with a distinct sense of personality and warmth. It is a game that never forgets to be joyful, one that values creativity not through player-made content but through the imagination of its own designers. For those seeking a vibrant, wholesome experience full of laughter, discovery, and visual splendor, Sackboy’s journey through Craftworld delivers exactly that. It may not revolutionize the genre, but it stands as one of the most lovingly made and polished 3D platformers in recent memory—a reminder that sometimes, all a game needs to be is happy, heartfelt, and fun.
