Buen juego. Historias interesantes. De repente el arte no es el fuerte, pero compensa con la historia.
This game is great! I've only done one playthrough so far, and I loved it! There are some tough choices to make, and I actually liked most of the girls a lot. One playthrough took me 8 hours, and I still need to unlock everyone else.
Personal favorite of mine and one I can recommend to most people with out the caveats that often come with Visual novels. *Extremely polished game that I enjoyed most the while and played to 100% *Values internal consistency over gratification and its better for it. *The MC is his own person and not an audience surrogate he also refreshingly puts himself first.
I really enjoyed this visual novel. I usually go into VNs in order to pursue one character and once I complete that characters path I drop the VN never to play it again. This game however just has peak writing and I ended up loving every single character. I originally played in order to play Lisha's path, but ended up loving Rei and Eth the most. I'm also very excited for the sequal.
I don't often write reviews, but this one deserves it. I'm a bit of a visual novel enjoyer, and I've had several I like, dislike, and just managed to push through. This one was genuinely one of the best I've played, and wish it got more of the recognition it deserves. Our MC (Sable) isn't a blank slate, but has enough options it can still feel like you're living through his life. The side characters don't fall into being simple tropes, but rather each feel like a fleshed out person, and despite which route you follow, everyone remains relevant throughout the story. I have nothing but fond memories of my time exploring every route. Wholeheartedly recommend, sale or not. I can't wait for Sable's Grimoire 2.
This is a good story that ticks all of my boxes for what makes a very good VN. Its characters are well developed and not 2D. Its story line is engaging and draws the reader into it. The artwork and music are nice too; though in my very subjective opinion I have heard better in some other VNs that I have played. Last, the romance feels natural and is definitely not forced. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a good story that has an excellent balance of narrative, comedy, and relatively slow romance.
Played this on my Steam Deck. Had to fiddle around and go into desktop mode and use proton, but it worked. Overall I quite liked it for the most part though I found certain routes significantly more interesting than others. Tix - The first route I played. She's cute and I liked seeing how her relationship with Sable evolved. Her final words were so sweet. The no consent stuff did bother me though. 6/10 Rei/Eth - A very lighthearted route. Rei's ending is pretty disappointing, but Eth's is nice and so is their combined ending. 7/10 Lisha - By far my favourite route. Lisha develops a lot and gets to spend a lot of quality time with Sable. Looking forward to starting her sequel. 9/10 Draken - Didn't really like her and there's a disturbing rape scene that's not removed by the mature filter. 3/10 Jorou - She's okay, but I didn't find her that interesting even after the twist. I was much more interested in the gorgon girl, Meara. 5/10 Eris - I really liked her, but she barely appeared on her route. The times she did though were great. Didn't expect her to be so cute. I'm hoping that she becomes an actual romance interest in the sequel. 8/10 Regardless of how I feel about certain things, I am very glad I gave this visual novel a chance. It certainly deserves more attention.
An endearing protagonist at a magic school with a very varied cast.
Beautiful game, beautiful story, beuatiful characters. There is no other visual novel that has topped this for me, and I've played quite a few. Drakan is BEST girl, and I will suplex anyone who says otherwise.
An excellent VN. The protagonist is actually a character rather than your usual generic self-insert, characters have depth and there's notable development for them all throughout the game, and lots of intriguing plots through all the various routes. Highly recommended along with Man and Elf, and Dragon's Treasure.
