Sable's Grimoire: Man And Elf

Super Spiel das die Stärken des Hauptteiles Sables Grimire im Bezug auf Charaktere und fesselnde Erzähl-weise fortsetzt im Bezug auf Lishas Route. Erneut tolles Artwork, gute Story und passende Musikuntermalung. Im Nachgang zum Hauptspiel, meine vollste Empfehlung.

[b]TLDR: If you liked 1, you'll like this. If you didn't play 1, you'll probably also like this. I mean, you're here for an elf visual novel, right? The adult scene doesn't devolve into porn. And the devs are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cracked for making another one.[/b] [b]This is so good![/b] Lisha's route is my favorite from the base game, and I love this continuation of it! No one breaks character and everything develops so naturally. It feels like watching real lives play out, instead of something that gets elbowed by the plot now and then, and you just have to roll your eyes and go with it. If you liked Lisha's route in the original Sable's Grimoire, this won't disappoint you - which makes sense, it comes from the same talent. I wish I could speculate on how much someone more neutral towards her, and the broader story of her family and Sable's lives intermingling, would enjoy this. Unfortunately, I'm too biased to do so clearly. But even if you aren't a returning player, it's still accessible. You don't strictly need to play the first game to keep up with what's happening or enjoy this, but if you [i]do[/i] want to keep up completely, you have the option to learn basic info about established terms and characters. And if you don't care, it's not forced on you. Incidentally, this has the added benefit of avoiding situations where characters explain things that everyone already knows. So if you just want to try this cute (but also serious), elf-focused visual novel you found, it's more than possible. And I know "is the story good" is always subjective. But the story's good. The characters could be real people despite being so fantastical. They're clearly as flawed as any of us but still likable. There are big and evident differences in the races' cultures. And everything progresses at a great pace. It's a really cool world to be a part of for a while. And if you have the 18+ version, I am also happy to say that the characters don't suddenly turn into common hentai protagonists. They remain themselves. You kinda never know if the script is gonna suddenly flip and turn into profanity-laced, cheap and dirty eroticism. But not here. Everything was consistent and believable, and it was honestly beautiful to see. All in all, complete recommendation. I am happy this series exists and that I found it by random-ass chance on the Switch store one night looking for something else entirely. Wait, hold on. WHAT THE ♥♥♥♥, THERE'S A SEQUEL COMING?! THIS [i]IS[/i] THE SEQUEL! Like, do you understand? There's the entirety of Sable's Grimoire, which is already 6 stories in 1. Then there's the direct sequel SG 2 and a focused sequel, Dragon's Treasure which is a counterpart to this, Man and Elf. And THIS gets its own part 2 on top of all of that? The creators are [i]actually[/i] ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane. I don't know what they're on, but I wanna try some of it. Maybe. It might be too much to handle.

I've only played this game for 3 hours as of my writing this, but so far it seems to be a very good continuation of the Lisha route from the original game. I like how the relationship between Sable and Lisha seems to be building and developing naturally instead of feeling forced. I'm looking forward to the rest of the game and seeing where the story goes from here with our tsundere elf.

It's worth it, slightly less outcomes than Drakans standalone but by no means should you let that stop you.

Not as slow as Sable's Grimoire: A Dragon's Treasure, plus there were the usual high levels of character development and psychology that they do so well. I enjoyed the read.

Man, Sigma passed from grinding in the library and ignoring hoes to simping the elf booty till his defeat all the way back to escaping the prison. Truly befitting the name of Sigma from Sigma's Grimoire. NEVER stop the grind, learn elvish or smthng.

Very good... fandisc/DCL-ish additional chapter for the main visual novel! Basically continues Lisha's route and goes deeper into the things that happened in her route, both story-wise and relationship-wise. Personally, I liked it more than Drakan's DLC, since this one played out a bit more like a regular adventure story. Would recommend to everyone who liked the main visual novel!
