Sable's Grimoire is a visual novel series set in a fantasy world filled with magic and monsters. It follows the adventures of Sable, a young human who wants to become a magic researcher, during his time at Amadronia Academy.
Sable spends his everyday life at Amadronia surrounded by demi-humans, including elves, pixies, and succubi, as he learns more about this magical world and the creatures within it.

As their first year together at Amadronia Academy comes to an end, Lisha and Sable make plans to spend their upcoming break together in her home. An elven village far away from their noisy classmates, where they can enjoy the break in peace, and be alone together at last.
What awaits them at their destination, however, is not the holiday they had planned. Their time away is soon spoiled by news of recent kidnappings and graves being robbed. To make matters worse, these crimes are alleged to have been committed by a dark elf.
Keen to investigate these incidents, Sable and Lisha move from town to town as they encounter one shocking revelation after another: mind control, forbidden magic, a human town where magic is the norm, and another side to her father's past which Lisha knew nothing about.
With all of the chaos going on around them, is a tender moment between man and elf too much to wish for?

This time around, we continue down the path of the first years Ice Queen. From the first game, who's now mellowed out significantly. Since we first saw her, but only with Sable. Everyone else still is treated to her chilling wit and cold demeanor. With things taking a drastic turn, when a simple visit home. Turns into an adventure across the nearby towns and provinces. We also learn that Ein is hiding a dark secret. Unlike with 'Dragon's Treasure' things don't reset to zero after the main game. Most of the character development carries over. Though there are a few times that easily noticeable/ avoidable instances are ignored, for the sake of the plot. Overall it's a nice continuation of the Lisha path from the main game. That actually builds off of what was already establish. Instead of tearing everything down and trying to rebuild it from scratch. Worth a try if your a Lisha fan or just want more content.
play the others first they are better i love drakon the most i bet i spelled her name wrong lol
A great addition to the story line

9/10 purely for the fact that it made one of the people in the first game that was mid into best character.
Amazing work. Absolutely loved the story and the characters were well written. I can't tell you how much this game means to me as well as every other game in the series. Personally this is my least favourite of the 4 sables grimoire games currently released, but that still places it as one of my all time favourite visual novels ever.
Sable’s Grimoire: Man And Elf is a fantasy visual novel developed and published by Zetsubou Games. Acting as a direct continuation of one of the romance routes from the original Sable’s Grimoire, the game shifts its focus toward the relationship between Sable, a human magician, and Lisha, an elf whose proud personality and emotional complexity made her a memorable character in the previous story. Rather than functioning as a simple epilogue, the game expands their journey into a full-length adventure that combines romance, mystery, and fantasy world-building. The story begins with what should have been a peaceful vacation. Sable accompanies Lisha to her secluded homeland, hoping to spend time together away from the pressures of academy life. However, their visit quickly takes a darker turn when troubling incidents begin to emerge throughout the village. Reports of kidnappings, grave robberies, and suspicious activity create an atmosphere of uncertainty, while rumors surrounding a mysterious dark elf ignite fear and prejudice among the local population. What starts as a quiet holiday gradually develops into an investigation that uncovers hidden secrets, ancient grudges, and dangerous magical forces. One of the strongest aspects of the game is how effectively it develops its setting. The original Sable’s Grimoire introduced a diverse fantasy world populated by numerous races and magical traditions, but Man And Elf takes the opportunity to explore elven culture in much greater depth. Through conversations, historical references, and local customs, players gain a clearer understanding of how elves live, think, and interact with the wider world. The game enriches the lore without overwhelming the reader, creating a setting that feels believable and interconnected. Even players who are unfamiliar with every detail from the original game can follow the narrative thanks to helpful explanations and contextual information. The relationship between Sable and Lisha serves as the emotional centerpiece of the experience. Their chemistry feels genuine because it is built on established history rather than instant attraction. The writing does a commendable job of portraying both affectionate and challenging moments between them. Lisha’s stubborn nature often clashes with Sable’s more rational outlook, leading to entertaining exchanges that reveal their personalities while strengthening their bond. The romance is handled with care, allowing character growth and emotional development to occur naturally alongside the main storyline. The mystery elements provide an effective counterbalance to the romantic focus. As Sable and Lisha dig deeper into the strange events occurring around the village, the plot introduces unexpected revelations and moral dilemmas that keep the story engaging. Themes such as discrimination, family expectations, loyalty, and the consequences of past actions are woven into the narrative, giving the game more depth than a straightforward fantasy romance. The investigation gradually raises the stakes and ensures that the story maintains momentum even during its quieter character-driven moments. Visually, the game delivers the polished presentation expected from a modern visual novel. Character artwork is expressive and attractive, helping emotional scenes land with greater impact. The CG illustrations are particularly effective during important story moments, adding variety and emphasizing key developments. Combined with the fantasy-themed backgrounds and soundtrack, the visual presentation succeeds in creating an immersive atmosphere that supports both the romantic and dramatic aspects of the story. The game’s structure is primarily linear, focusing on delivering a carefully crafted narrative rather than extensive branching paths. While player choices do influence certain interactions and contribute to the available endings, the experience is largely centered on storytelling. This approach allows the writers to maintain a strong narrative focus, though players looking for highly divergent routes may find the level of choice somewhat limited. Nevertheless, the story’s substantial length and multiple endings provide enough incentive for readers to remain invested throughout the journey. The pacing can occasionally be uneven, particularly during sections devoted to exposition or lengthy conversations. Some scenes spend considerable time exploring lore or character relationships, which may feel slow for readers seeking constant action. However, fans of traditional visual novels will likely appreciate the detailed writing and emphasis on character interaction. The slower moments often contribute meaningfully to world-building and emotional development, making them feel purposeful rather than unnecessary. Overall, Sable’s Grimoire: Man And Elf succeeds as both a romantic continuation and a fantasy mystery. It expands the world established by its predecessor, deepens the connection between its central characters, and delivers a story filled with intrigue, emotional moments, and meaningful character growth. While its deliberate pacing and relatively limited branching may not appeal to everyone, the strength of its writing, world-building, and character dynamics make it an enjoyable experience for fans of fantasy visual novels. It stands as a satisfying continuation of Sable and Lisha’s story and a worthwhile entry for readers who enjoy narrative-driven adventures with a strong romantic core. Rating: 8/10
A new story for Sable and Lisha and their ever growing relationship. Not quite as dark as A Dragon's Treasure, but a definitely look into Lisha and Ein's past and still another great DLC for Sable's Grimoire.
Как же долго я шёл к хорошей концовке
Lisha in portuguese means "trash" or "sandpaper" That said, seeing different sides of a person does make you like them more. So, even if you didn't like Lisha in SG, you may grow to like her here. This story also felt way more wild and cruel than the rest of SG
