Russian AYE Race is a driving arcade game. The game is extremely barebone, it has two different levels and you have to avoid cops in order to collect vodka bottles. The hitbox is unforgivable, the music is beyond horrible and the graphics are super poor. The game is short and repetitive, there is truly nothing to see here. The gameplay is slow to a point where it's painful to keep playing. Overall, slow paced, boring and bad.
Waste of money
-atrocious audio -boring "gameplay" -awful hitboxes (every pixel touch is a hit, even when you think you're behind or in front of the enemy) -and the list goes on and on can't find anything positive about this.
Took me 8 minutes to get all achievements. Waste of time and a waste of money. Don't support this sh*t dev.
Entrei em uma dimensão desconhecida depois de usar um bom LSD, comecei ouvir vozes como se elas lessem a minha mente,isso começou quando li um livro chamado dantes inferno que me foi emprestado por um satanista que conheci por acaso dando uns raio na madrugada e bebendo umas, fui querer conhecer o sobrenatural pelo 3°olho ,comecei a ter sonhos vividos e pesadelos surreais todos os dias,acreditava de toda alma que todos planejavam meu mal e que pensavam mal de mim e vi meus amigos mais próximos como inimigos e me isolei de todos,acreditava estar dentro de um plano elevado espiritualmente,falava com vozes que se comunicavam comigo ,haviam diversas vozes ,masculinas ,femininas ,infantis ,velhos e adolescentes desbocados,acreditava me comunicar com cada pessoa em 2 planos diferentes ,um lado da luz e o lado das trevas ,todas a coisas horríveis que haviam no oculto do meu coração acreditava que estavam sendo reveladas a essas " pessoas " comecei a ficar atormentado ,vozes como gargalhadas de bruxas e ameaças de morte eu comecei a ouvir nas madrugadas ,sentia como se minha alma fosse ser arrancada do corpo,e comecei a ter síndrome do Pânico ,e minha depressão aumentou pra outro nível ,era constantemente acusado de meus erros e escolhas passadas , comecei a ver coisas ,vi um homen de preto de pé do meu lado da cama ,quando fiquei isolado no meu quarto três dias seguidos ,enquanto praticava meditação ,abri meus olhos e me vi deslocado do meu corpo ,olhando minha própria nuca,comecei acreditar que estava enlouquecendo e queria ser internado em um hospício,mas no Brasil é complicado, acidentes aconteciam com frequência onde quer que eu estivesse na rua,...acordado era atormentado na própria mente ,dormindo tinha pesadelos reais onde não tinha controle do corpo ,comecei ter medo da chuva ,e do tocar de uma folha no chão ,tudo era terrível,em uma madrugada aleatória.{..}
Another endless runner that requires you to collect vodka for points while avoiding the police. The achievements can easily be farmed if you leave the game open and have the car in the bottom part of the map. Rate 1/10 because it was a waste of play time and the game mechanics are really simple.
You are tasked to pick up vodka bottles from the street by touching them with your car. Touch a cop, and it's all over for you and you must begin again. MAPS (Courses) Village "Zalupino" Red Square GRAPHICS 8-Bit Retro MUSIC Sounds 8-Bit generated. Different music for each of the two maps CONTROLS: Keyboard W = Up S = Down ACHIEVEMENTS: 6 How to earn them: Start the game Play on any map Pick up first vodka Pick up 50 vodkas (in one run) Pick up 100 vodkas (in one run) Check credits I earned all 6 achievements in less than 20 minutes. I then spent 10 minutes playing the second map. I tried to record a play vid but only got audio, so here's one by another YouTuber: PLAY VIDEO @Manzana0km https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHlvybb1Jj0 WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE GAME Extremely poor hit detection. If I were a drinker it'd drive me to drinking 100 bottles of vodka.
I guess it's okay. I only got a few changes to the game. 1. Be able to turn off the music ingame 2. Be able to pause the game without restarting 3. The car moves just a little faster because its really damn slow. PB: 414
Russian Race, developed by Nikita “Ghost_RUS” and published by Ghost_RUS Games, is a small-scale indie racing game that leans heavily into exaggerated humor and cultural parody. Rather than positioning itself as a serious driving simulator or competitive arcade racer, it embraces a deliberately absurd premise: you play as Ivan, an ordinary rural Russian man who decides to take part in reckless, unofficial races using his grandfather’s old car. The game’s tone is intentionally tongue-in-cheek, blending pixel-art aesthetics with comedic elements centered around vodka pickups, police chases, and wide-open countryside maps. At its core, Russian Race is structured around simple driving mechanics. Players navigate pixelated rural landscapes, attempting to maintain speed, collect scattered vodka bottles, and avoid pursuing police vehicles. The driving physics are basic and arcade-oriented, prioritizing accessibility over realism. There are no advanced tuning systems, tire simulations, or intricate vehicle customization features. Instead, the experience is focused on immediate, uncomplicated gameplay that can be picked up and understood within minutes. The maps serve as open environments rather than tightly structured race tracks. This gives the game a loose sandbox feel, where exploration is part of the experience. While there are objectives tied to collecting items and surviving police pursuit, the structure does not revolve around traditional lap-based racing or competitive tournaments. The vodka bottles function as interactive collectibles that add to the comedic flavor, reinforcing the game’s exaggerated portrayal of Russian stereotypes. Police vehicles introduce a mild risk element, encouraging players to stay alert rather than simply cruise aimlessly. Visually, Russian Race adopts a pixel-art style that fits its indie origins. The environments are simple yet readable, with countryside roads, small settlements, and basic terrain details forming the backdrop for each session. The aesthetic does not aim for realism; instead, it relies on stylized simplicity. Character and vehicle models are functional rather than detailed, and the overall presentation conveys a lightweight, low-budget charm. The soundtrack complements the laid-back tone, providing background music that supports the casual driving atmosphere. Where the game may divide players is in its depth—or lack thereof. The mechanics remain consistent throughout, and there is little evolution in gameplay systems as sessions progress. Without significant progression systems, customization depth, or varied game modes, replay value largely depends on whether players find the core loop entertaining. For some, the novelty and humor are enough to sustain interest in short bursts. For others, the repetitive structure and limited content may cause the experience to feel thin over time. Community reception reflects this divide. Some players appreciate Russian Race as a brief, humorous indie experiment that delivers exactly what it promises: a quirky, low-cost driving game with exaggerated cultural flair. Others criticize it for shallow gameplay and minimal polish. Expectations play a key role in shaping enjoyment. Approached as a lighthearted novelty title, it can offer a few entertaining sessions. Approached as a serious racing game, it may fall short of modern standards. Technically, the game is lightweight and runs smoothly on modest hardware. Its minimal system requirements make it accessible to a broad range of players, including those with older PCs. Steam achievements provide small incentives for completion, but they do not significantly expand the gameplay loop. Ultimately, Russian Race stands as a micro-indie project built around personality rather than complexity. Its simple arcade driving mechanics, pixel-art presentation, and humorous theme create a distinct identity, even if the experience remains limited in scope. For players seeking a short, casual diversion with an offbeat tone, it offers a straightforward and sometimes amusing ride. For those looking for deep racing mechanics or long-term progression systems, it may feel more like a novelty experiment than a fully fleshed-out racing title. Rating: 4/10
