Running Riot

This game is a fun action twin-stick shooter with roguelike elements. It's still in early access, so just waiting on more content, but what's here is CLEAN and FUN! The visuals are retro inspired and quite visually appealing, the gameplay feels responsive and easy to learn, and the variety of room objectives at this early stage is impressive!

My Score: 8.5 with an addition .5 point bonus for high value at such a small price tag = A 9 out of 10! Definitely recommended if you like this style of game!

Super fun game, even in Early Access, and an absolute steal for $3! Speaking of Early Access, Running Riot already has a surprising amount of polish. I haven't noticed any bugs, and the combat feels as smooth as butter. The visual style is also easy to read. It currently only has two classes, but the two it has are both really fun and feel completely different. The ability trees offer a lot of depth, and overall balance already feels solid. This gives me a lot of hope for the quality of future classes! I can’t wait for the meta progression, I definitely have an addiction to grinding Vampire Survivors-esque games.

https://youtu.be/8xAUt_mmrw8 This game is in the earliest of accesses lol. The game's mechanics are good, it feels smooth to control and shoot with the character but that's about it unfortunately... You only have 1 class to play with and you can't upgrade anything or buy anything at the menu for now, you also can finish the game in pretty much 30-40 mins so there's kinda no replayability besides the 'high-score'. I really hope the dev won't abandon this game but I think there is a lot to be done with the game in terms of content.

highly recommend the game. I'm a sucker for roguelikes but tend to not like top down shooters. This scratched the progression-itch that I dig about roguelikes really well. I'm pretty excited to see where it goes as they add on to it.

Elements of roguelite and bullet hell mixed together in a fun, neon noir package. A great modernization of the classic arcade game "Smash TV" and an absolute steal at the price point. Highly recommended.

Really impressive, they definitely took the time to make sure it has smooth gameplay. I've tried out all the characters and each one has their own kit and feel. Knocking enemies around as Tempest or vaulting around them as Edge, it makes for a lot of variety in your run throughs. It's also cool to be able to see the high scores chart and compare with friends.

Such a fun game! My favorite characters are Edge and Boomer.

Commando is the best character. I'm currently the best player in the game as of the time of writing this review. It'd be nice if this game gained a bit of traction, as it is really quite fun. Pretty simple roguelite shooter, but tons of fun.
