Great little game -- an 8-bit cross between Oregon Trail and Fallout 1/2, clearly made with love. I stumbled on the original game-jam version on Newgrounds awhile back, and enjoyed it enough to want to support the developer. Solid core gameplay loop, with combat and RPG elements, a killer soundtrack, and super-detailed pixel art with a great sense of style (seriously -- the dev went to the trouble of modelling dust and reflections on the screen of your not!Pip-Boy, and the laserfire effects are some of the best I can remember seeing in 8- or 16-bit). That being said, I do have a couple of nitpicks, mostly related to how certain information is communicated.

This is definitely a work in translation, and some of the dialogue -- particularly the new material related to the factions -- can read a little stilted. It's never enough to stop you from figuring out what you need to do, but it does stand out.
It's not stated anywhere in the manual, but you can change resolution from the settings menu ("Escape" from the main game window). The default 64x64 resolution is cute and nostalgic, but I'm old and eyestrain is real, particularly considering the resolution scale of modern monitors.
Seriously, though, this is an easy recommend if you're into roguelikes, or just love the properties this is based on. It's simple enough to pick up and play, but with enough of a learning curve to stay engaging as new systems are introduced.

its pretty difficult i have never played one of these games before but i really do like it
A Minimalist game with a lot of charm. The game itself is simple to understand and learn, but still has plenty to do and explore that has me more interested then I might've thought buying the game myself. I'll admit it, I didn't expect nearly as much this game actually has to offer until I found out. It's amazing, and worth the $3 that other games might just charge me $15 for. It feels almost criminal to pay so little for it. I love the music and want to get my hands on the tracks, though I'm not sure where to get them. Considered reaching out to the developer but I've yet to find a way to contact them. If they see this, I'd like them to release the soundtrack! 10/10, a great indie game that outperforms other titles exponentially more expensive, and with nothing but 4,096 pixels and a dream.
Loved it
This is a really nice game, and the music is fantastic. I can only recommend it!
Loved the game. Enjoyed the retro style and the surprising amount of possibilities and depth that it has. Just scratched the surface, but I know it will be a game to play on those free minutes at work. Also, no game had asked me to read a manual in a long time (could be nicer though). For that price is a sure buy. Don't wait for a discount, support the dev now.
Хорошее, нравится Больше бы SFW игр от этого разработчика...
