RuneScape Dragonwilds is a super fun and sometimes challenging game. I play alone and with friends on a dedicated server, but I will say, it's a lot more fun with others. A lot of OG RuneScape anecdotes and details, however it has its own story line. I very much enjoy playing and will continue to play as long as they keep continuing to release content. The content release schedule has been on par with what they say and the team has been amazing with fixing issues and bugs with each update. The Team not only fixes bugs, but they actually care about their player base and listen to suggestions and comments, which you don't find a lot these days. 10/10 would recommend.
So far very enjoyable, love the mechanics! Some tasks feel like artifically inflated to slow progress but still the systems and exploration is very fun!
Mir gefällt die Mischung aus RPG Bauen und Überleben sehr gut
The game is very entertaining and well designed.
So far having a wonderful time and its giving me my RS fix... The plugin is optional at the beginning. The game runs really smooth. There is a decent amount of content right now, if you don't grind your tits off you'll have at least 100+ hours easily... Solo is a good challenge but I can definitely see this being fun with friends. Take your time, try to get immersed a bit! Everything has purpose, even your burnt food. This game will definitely continue to grow and do well. I was SUPER skeptical with the recommended comments but I'm glad I decided to purchase.
This game is gorgeous even with the limited character customization options. I love MMO RPGs and really enjoyed playing oldschool runescape, but this game comes at the same idea of progression from a different way and makes the survival aspect another enjoyable factor while grinding away at trees for hours. There are some resource grinds that I have done; however, between being hunted, having my base assaulted or randomly getting sniped by a ranger from halfway across the map, I genuinely feel a sense of fun from the danger that occurs almost nonstop. Some of the generational algorithms seems to load after you spawn, however, the quick travel load screens being shorter is not a bad thing at all. I also love that the scaling for the damage does not feel forced; however, there is still some balancing that could be done for the bow compared to others once you start fighting above your paygrade.
Great and Amazing Survival Game. Love every aspect of this game. Looking forward to further improvements.
I have been playing RuneScape since the end of OG Classic and the start of RuneScape 2, and I honestly fell in love with Dragonwilds. It feels like everything I imagined a 3D RuneScape game could be. It feels fresh, exciting, and brings back the feeling I had playing RuneScape as a kid. I am about 60 hours in and still have not beaten the first dragon because I have been taking my time exploring, building, gathering, and enjoying the world. My biggest problem is that the game feels empty. Outside of a few characters at the start, the old man, the goblin in the cage, and some ghost-like NPCs, there is almost nobody to talk to or care about. There are ruins, towns, houses, castles, and villages everywhere, but nobody is living in them. When I play alone, I start wondering who I am saving and why I am clearing out these places if nobody is coming back. Even with that problem, I still really love this game and plan to keep playing it. The gameplay, world, building, and exploration have kept me hooked enough to play during my lunch breaks using Steam Link, my phone, and a wireless controller. I just hope they add more NPCs, towns, companions, stories, and small RuneScape-style quests to make the world feel more alive. Dragonwilds already has something special, and with more life added to the world, it could become one of my favorite RuneScape experiences.
