im a osrs player this game is amazing should give it a shot if you love survival plus if you love runescape all together!
As an OSRS player, this is a fantastic spiritual successor to the franchise. There's enough OSRS in it that it feels familiar, but it's different enough that it feels like a new game. I love the change to the survival format, although it took a little bit for me to remember that the mechanics required that I eat and drink and sleep. I haven't really watched any videos or seen any advice about how best to play it, so if you're looking to efficiencyscape, we're playing it differently. I'm not usually a base-building kind of person; I hated doing any of that in Fallout 4 and only built the minimum that I needed to, but the snapping and leveling are fantastic in this game and don't make it a huge chore to build, so I've been having fun building and re-building as my needs and capabilities change. I don't know if it's worth it to do a really cool base in the main area if you're just going to need to do it again further out in the map or something, but I look forward to finding out. FWIW, I've played it on the ROG Ally Z1E running SteamOS and it runs alright on low settings and Vulkan graphics. I've also had a lot of success playing it streaming from my 3070ti desktop to the Ally, which is probably going to get you a better experience if you're able to do that when you're at home.
Really niche , but really nice ! to survey and play from time to time until the full release.
It's simple, if you like Runescape and Valheim then you like this.
Others have described this game as feeling empty and I think that’s true. I had fun at first building a base and exploring but it’s hard to scale up combat, and using spells in combat is also difficult. I can’t get past the first main area after spending a good 12 hours there. I feel like this could be more fun if the mechanics were like the original RuneScape with an online community component.
Wholesome, entertaining, and visually beautiful.
Great Game! Myself and friends are loving it! However I do have one complaint followed by a request from the Devs... The NPC audio cues happen way too frequently, if you ever live too close to any Cow or Goblin in the early game it's a constant "MOOO" and Goblin Scream every 5-10 seconds it feels like.. Please for the sake of our sanities do something about the frequency of these audio cues! <3
Runescape survival at its best
