Rule with an Iron Fish - A Pirate Fishing Adventure

Do you enjoy pirate themes? How about fishing? How about ridiculous names for fishes? Add in a dash of mobile device play and you have this game. Do you want a long game that takes more than just over 5 hours to finish? Oh. Well, go somewhere else then. This game reminds of Harvest moon, in a mild watered down kind of way. Is it fun? Sure, it is. Is it a tonne of repetition? You bet it is! You like fetch quests? ALOT of fetch quests? Well you're in for the time of your monotonous lives! Really though, this is a cute, short game, that is clearly meant for a mobile device and not really the home PC. It's a time waster, but not much point in revisiting it once you finish the main story.

I was gifted the game because I enjoy fishing in games in general. It's addicting, quaint and fun to play. I enjoy how relaxing it is and it's an easy achievement farm. If you enjoy fishing, and enjoy easy achievements I suggest this game. The story line is cute and funny and there's a whole lot of puns and easter eggs. The different types of fish are entertaining and the characters you run into are interesting to say the least. (For the legendary achievement, if you catch the required amount and don't get the achievement, just save/quit, and reload the game, you'll get the achievement.)

I don't fish in the "real world", but the developers have packed so much content into this reasonably priced game -- It's a no brainer for me! This is a unique fishing experience and I'm genuinely pleased with the art and fun quests I have yet to discover. If you're considering a casual fishing game, you should get excited by Iron Fish because it offers a mix of cute dialogue and a rewarding sound track (listening to the sound track actually relaxes me!!!)! Nice work devs. :)

If you plan to rush through the main questline and don't have any patience for grinding then maybe skip this one but it's perfect for those who like to take their time and try to "catch 'em all". Bright colorful graphics, fun dialog and fish puns aplenty. LOTS of different fish to collect and even hats and pets. The farming aspect is very simple but I did find the food that chases away non-rare fish to very helpful. At around 9 hours I still have several fish to collect for completion, quite a few side quests left and a final boss to fight. The "fights" are probably my least favorite part of the game but they're not too bad once you see what you need to do.

Fish Puns & LOTS Grinding, Cute artstyle, Simple controls, put in about 3 hrs already about 90% on fish collection. Still have about 6 or so side quests, story arc goes for about 2-3hrs depends on your money prowess and if your actually persuing it, I imagine getting this game for about 5$ isnt that bad of a steal. Fun store highlight pick.

An adorable fishing game with a lot of sole. Rule with an Iron Fish is a fun and laid back fishing game, filled to the brim with pirates and puns. I really enjoy the graphics and art style and light hearted punny pirate humour. I'm 4 or 5 hours in and there are still tons of things left to unlock, many more wacky fish to find, and 3 more islands to explore. Give it a try.

10/10 Fish Puns, a lengthy Lore to be entangled by, many ‘Unique’ Fishes to Lure in for your Collect, and much Grinding! (possibly a few Secrets?) 네모난 섬에서 낚시하는 게임 (매일 업데이트되지는 않으며, 작성자가 원할 때마다 업데이트됩니다.) [1일차] 간단한 낚시를 하는 게임입니다. 그런대 스토리랑 퀘스트하느라 낚시에 집중을 하기가 좀 힘들죠. 섬에서 낚시대를 드리우고 물고기가 물기를 기다린 뒤 타이밍 맞춰서 팍하고 낚아채야 합니다. 물고기가 향하는 방향으로 미끼를 내리면 반응을 하며 밀당을 하다가 초록색 원이 되면 빡!하고 낚아 올리며 되죠. 가끔 물고기와 힘겨루기를 하는 경우도 있으며 이때 지정된 방향의 방향키를 누르거나 화면을 드래그하여야 합니다. 물고기를 낚으면 종류에 따라서 골드와 경험치를 획득할 수 있죠. 골드를 소모하여 낚시에 필요한 미끼를 구매할 수 있으며, 경험치를 얻고 레벨업을 하여 언락된 장비들을 구매할 수도 있습니다. 낚시대, 미끼, 찌, 모자 등 다양한 장비들이 존재하며 이를 구매하고 장착하여 추가적인 버프를 받을 수 있죠. 상자나 물에 떠다니는 재료들을 수집하여 제작할 수 있는 경우도 있고 배를 건조해 다른 섬으로 이동할 수도 있게 됩니다. 낚시 외에 스토리의 진행에 따라서 새로운 컨텐츠들도 언락됩니다. 농사를 지을 수도 있고 재료들을 모아서 다양한 효과를 가진 음식을 조리할 수도 있죠. 또한, 아쿠아리움이라거나 자신의 방도 가질 수 있는대.... 그냥 꾸미기 용도인듯? 다른 컨텐츠로는 다른 낚시꾼들과 경쟁이 있습니다. 기본적으로 상대가 낚시대를 드리우면 낚시줄의 특정 지점으로 칼을 던져서 끊어내어 물고기를 낚지 못하도록 막아야 하죠. 그러다보면 상대가 화를 내면서 폭탄을 던지는대 이때 튀어나오는 물고기들을 낚아채야 합니다. 그런 행동들을 통해서 자신의 게이지를 채우고 상대의 게이지는 채우지 못하게 막아내야 하죠. 자신의 게이지가 모두 채워지면 승리하게 되고 보상을 받을 수 있습니다. [아쉬운 점] -일반 대화랑 퀘스트, 스토리를 위한 대화의 구분이 어려움 -낚아야하는 타이밍에 재료가 클릭되어서 미스처리되는 경우가 있음 -느긋하게 진행하기는 좀 힘들다 -돈 벌기 너무 오래걸리는....

Very fun, cute and relaxing little game. Bought on sale and I am extremely happy with this purchase. Lots of silly dialogues, that really make me smile :) Wish I could find more games like this one. Hilly recommend for all, who like to shut their brain and just enjoy the little activities, such as fishing, farming and exploring.

Cute fishing game. This was probably ported from mobile, since the visuals are all focused in the center. The UI is not too great. Dialogues pop up all over the place instead of just on one spot so you have to keep looking around to follow a conversation. Also, the day to night effect is really annoying. Days really have no gameplay purpose, so there's really no point in having the screen go dark and light so frequently. It really messed up with my eyes. Other than that the humour is quite entertaining and I enjoyed collecting all the fish.
