I'm a rugby league tragic, and generally buy anything related to the game. I have the three previous versions of this game. But after buying this one, I've asked for a refund. Loading it up, I quickly realised that there are very few differences from the previous version, which I already have. The menus are fundamentally the same, the graphics the same, the gameplay the same. It's still ridiculously difficult to do something as simple as creating your own team, and even harder - if not impossible - to do basic things like design a kit. Even the cheesy random casio organ music is basically the same. I thought at least the interface would be different. If I didn't own the previous versions, I might still have bought this. But I do, and so it's simply not worth £35 to get almost no change from a game I already own. Disappointing, I'm afraid.
I really wanted to like this, but this is absolutely awful, one of the worst manager style games I've ever touched. I'd maybe be able to look past all the awful issues (like the worst designed menu's and tactics ever, awful "animations" and players just standing still while defending) if it was 5 quid, but charging 35 quid for this is like KFC charging you 50 quid for one piece of chicken (and you'd still have more value for your money)
Finally a new rugby league game, thank you!!!
10/10 for rugby league game.
This will be my final purchase of this series, I have supported and bought the all previous versions. But now, at nearly $60 that will be it, the game has not really improved, it is still flooded with tabs and menus, and plays like a kids arcade game. It usually takes 60 seconds for a set of 6 tackles in real life, this one again is way out again. Its very clunky when navigating and makes it frustrating to play, even finding the exit game tab was punishing. The dev is doing a fair job in making a RL game, it is rare as hens teeth. The benchmark for management games is the FM series, if only this game had that type of set up and match engine. I hope in the future they can make it an absorbing management series, it needs a lot of work.
Great game in a neglected sport! There is tireless love poured into this game from the small team, who are also passionate about fixing any bugs that might pop up.
The game is nowhere near the quality of the previous generation. So many bugs and and poor designs for a premium costing game
Most work for this version went into the editor. The player now have much more control over fixtures new teams and leagues something that was missing from the previous version and will definitely keep players engaged for much longer.
it lets me watch the first game, then skips past every other one a day before and doesnt even produce the watch or sim screen, its done it in three different saves now, im highly underwhelmed and feeling a bit duped tbh, a good game with good workings, but the fact i cant immerse myself because i cant watch every game, you need to diagnose this, its a massive problem.
this game is crap no real names like 3 no real emblems if going to but dont buy 3 cheaper . wish i had never brought this
