game would be quite good.... if it were finished. The devs appear to have abandoned any support right after full release and not responded to a number of bug issues. Avoid buying this game for this reason - 0/10
This feels like a straight-up port of a mobile game. I bought it on sale, and honestly even for that price it’s not worth it. If you’re looking for a proper motorsport management sim, you’re way better off playing F1 Manager or Motorsport Manager. Everything here feels extremely mobile just without microtransactions. You can forget about experimenting with different strategies or setups, and the progression feels very cut down. Judging by the fact that there haven’t been any updates since July, the developers seem to have abandoned the game entirely. It’s a shame, really, the idea wasn’t bad, but the execution is disappointing. But why would they care? The all-time peak is 79 players, and the average player count is like five people at best.
I wish I could recommend this game, I truly do. It has official drivers, real teams, great cars and the layouts of real tracks. A nice step up from existing games in this genre. There is so much potential here. However - The driver stats don't seem to make any meaningful difference, and the gameplay loop is the same between every single formula, from GT4 to Hypercar, you can use the exact same strategy and never lose a race. ## After looking into The Tiny Digital Factory further, their other project is a crypto currency based NFT style car game. Give your money to a more deserving developer ## Word salad below - if you can't be bothered reading - go and play Motorsport Manager. It continues to be the gold standard for any motorsport management sim, even without any updates in the past few years. BEFORE READING - At the time of posting, there have been no updates for 3 months. The game has a decent amount of bugs that will impact your gameplay. You can tell the developers put their heart and soul into the game; the visuals are great, the driver variety is top notch and the cars sound reasonably good. But after a full career loop, I have to admit, the gameplay is incredibly boring. After reaching the GT2 series I was bored and didn't have any incentive to continue. Each race was the same - set the car at -5% in every single variable, run soft tyres, pit 1 car at lap 5, and the second on lap 6 to offset them. Rinse and repeat. It looks like they got 60% of the way through development, were told to push the game, and then disbanded their studio. Every single car I tested failed to be any faster around the track with any set-up different to -5% in all settings. We're talking a whole 1-1.5 sec per lap faster on every single car. Despite managing 2 cars, there are no A and B cars. Each part is fitted to both cars. Having an A and B car adds an extra layer of depth to the gameplay that is entirely missed here. Once you have a fast car, the sponsor objectives suddenly feel trivial to meet. All drivers are advertised to have a "Seasonal Objective" but I haven't encountered any of them between GT4 > Hypercar. Despite offering the ability to improve reliability for parts/engine, the mechanic will always inform you at the same engine temps that it is "overheating". I genuinely do not understand how the reliability stat impacts the car at all, even after completing the game. Tyres, engine limits and fuel consumption remained the same for every single car/tournament I entered, even with +40% reliaibility. In early seasons, while you have no car development, the special, optional, manufacturer races seem impossible. There is no explanation that the parts you've developed are attached to the cars used in the manufacturer races. Its presented as if each car is meant to be a 1:1 copy, relying on either your drivers or management skills to win/achieve the objective. Once you've developed some decent racing parts, these become trivial. The early seasons actually require the most actual car management, reaching the sponsor goals for the early (GT4 and GT3) seasons can be difficult, meeting them felt rewarding. This was entirely gone in later seasons. By the time you unlock a decent part designer, then develop a part, you'll have improved an existing one enough to make the new one unimpactful. I have 6 different parts that I can fit to my car for brakes, however the 1 part I've improved for 1 season is significantly better than all other alternatives. It feels completely random how much experience staff gain each round - some staff level up heaps in 1 season, then seem to never receive enough XP to level up again. The game recommends you hire staff that are very cost inefficient, and there are only a few staff that offer 3 or 4 stat boosts. It's always worth picking them over anyone else. Adding a trait to staff members would add so much more complexity to the game. If a strong mechanic had a trait like "Loves talking - Makes driver changes 0.5 sec slower because the mechanic is always talking." suddenly there is something to consider other than blindly picking the best person. My main issue with the game is that there is no change in any core gameplay mechanics between formulas*. The race distance in GT4 and Hypercar series is exactly the same, there is no variation in tyre wear, no variation in fuel flow levels, nothing. A car with 25 tyre wear and a car with 250 tyre wear will almost always use 13% of a soft tyre each lap, on every track. Every race is either 15 or 30 laps, regardless of the formula, *GT3 onwards offers the abiltiy to increase or decrease things like downforce on your car, however the best setup is always -5% (maximum) for all parts. Rendering this useless, and making the game harder for people who don't realise the fact the sliders are useless. I used the same strategy from Gt4 to Hypercar and didn't lose a single race. There is no point in using the Medium tyre, its more than 1sec per lap slower than the soft tyre and lasts no more than 1-2 laps longer. This means you lose about 1 pit stop per stint for using the medium, rendering it completely useless. Its faster to run 2 cars on soft tyres, pit a car a lap later than the other and run softs all race. (2x pit stop race vs 1x pit stop race) The AI is sometimes way faster than the player car on while on medium tyres. The AI also sometimes forgets to pit for new tyres. I've had multiple races where the NPC cars tyres reach 0%. (You begin to notice slower laps with 50% tyre wear remaining, and significantly slower laps at 30%) This kills the only other part of the game that adds variation, tyre strategy. And while the game tells you that fuel makes you slower, it rarely ever impacts your strategy. 10L vs 100L is 0.6sec/lap slower in optimal conditions. You use between 4 and 6L per lap. 30L takes 4.6 sec to put in the car, 5 laps at 0.6 sec saving is 3 seconds. Tyre changes with a max level crew are 0.6 seconds faster than with the starter crew. The stat says 60% faster, but the change is actually 6%. (GT4 starter crew vs max hypercar crew) Each race is 15 laps, 30 for an 'endurance'. There is no difference between Sprint and Endurance other than in endurance you are doing everything twice. Medium tyres are so bad that you're much slower using them in the endurance series. The BOP system makes no sense, you could have a car with 30+ points of power above the next highest, yet struggle to beat that team on race day. Sometimes the same car with the same BOP will have 2sec/lap time variation. Once you unlock the ability to sell merch, there is no incentive to manage money. Just increase your merch a few times and you'll always gain 150-200k/race. On the flip side, despite being advertised, your sponsorship level will rarely increase, I came 1st and 2nd in every race for an entire season and didn't level up my sponsor once. The bugs in this game are pretty impactful, I haven't reliabily found a way to exit the game without losing money. - Quitting the game can result in race money being lost - The AI cars sometimes forget to pit for tyres - Rain begins to slow down cars as soon as it starts, you can pit for wet tyres at 5% track dampness and still be faster than someone on softs - Cars can sometimes appear in random starting positions post qualifying. (Eg. Qualify 1st, the game will show your start position as 5th). - The AI will randomly become insanely fast in earlier race formulas (GT4 and GT3) - Stat sliders say +5%, despite actually being -5%. Ultimately - for the price, look at some of the other games in this genre. It has been nice to have drivers like Andre Lotterer and Laurens Vanthoor on my team, but once you press start race, it's the same thing, every time. This game has so much potential, I hope the developers come back with some great improvements / fixes.
The graphics are nice and there's a decent amount going on off track with this one but honestly, I moved on from this game fast after only looking at it because I wanted variation from 2800+ hours in Motorsport Manager. The racing is poor, the strategy is without any nuance. Giving a boost button is extremely artificial (and nothing to do with the IRL GT racing). If you're looking at this due to a sale discount, consider looking at one of the other alternatives. This is an incredibly difficult genre to get right and this attempt ... fails.
In 2026, GT Manager has fully established itself on Steam after moving from mobile. It’s a specialized experience—it doesn't have the massive budget of F1 Manager or the modding depth of Motorsport Manager, but it offers a unique focus on endurance racing and Hypercars. Here are three styles of reviews you can publish, depending on your experience with the game. Option 1: The "Motorsport Purist" Review Best if you appreciate the official licenses (WEC, IMSA) and the specific GT racing vibes. Recommended The best way to manage Hypercars in 2026. If you are a fan of the WEC or IMSA, GT Manager is currently the only place you can lead teams like Porsche, BMW, or Alpine to a Le Mans victory. It’s transitioned well from its mobile origins, offering a much more tactile and detailed experience on PC. Pros: Licensed Content: Seeing real 2024/2025 Hypercars (like the Porsche 963 and Peugeot 9X8) in high detail is a treat for any racing nerd. Endurance Mechanics: The driver swap system and tire/fuel management are simplified but satisfying during a long race. Accessible but Deep: It's easier to pick up than F1 Manager, making it great for shorter sessions. Cons: The Engine Heat System: It can be frustratingly aggressive. You'll spend a lot of time micro-managing "Normal" vs "Push" just to keep the car from cooking. Visuals: While the cars look great, the pit crews and track surroundings still feel a bit "mobile-port." Verdict: A strong 7.5/10. It hits a niche that other management games ignore.
the ai feels way too snappy, Like they just follow waypoints and dont think at all, feels like a mobile port, all models and animations feel like something you could find on the unity asset store except the cars thats the only good models, For 40 dollars this isn't worth it just get like f1 manager or something.
Pretty solid foundation with some rough edges. Overall a good game worthy of replacing Motorsport manager. The overall game is fun. However, the drawbacks in sound for races and lack of team orders makes it less enjoyable then it could be. Engines in races, at least GT4s, come across as flat and muddled together. The single car focus games like F1 Manager take would work better here. Having no easy option for team orders, so I can have one driver easily overtake the other without laps of fighting, is confusing though. All that said, I'd definitely recommend this game.
